Anyone heard what like the site layout is going to be this year or if there are to be any major changes?

The drop off point for day tickets last year was ridiculously far from the main arena last year, I hope its a lot closer this year

Also I have seen what looks like the first lorries head out to site with Rockness gear. I saw lorries with portacabins and fencing heading out that way earlier today

This is all we have to go on at the moment...

...I'm hoping one of the papers releases something full and more detailed this weekend. It looks like the drop off point is the same as last year with the main difference being Nesstival is smaller(much better than last year) and VIP is up against the arena.

Cheers for that Kyleo. I definately remember last year maps being printed in the papers in the week leading up to it and also if i remember correctly there was a PDF rockness guide available which had a decent map.

Going by the map you have there it looks like the drop off/day parking may well be quite a bit away from the arena

It wasnt so bad walking to the arena last year at the start of the day but the stumble/crawl back was horrendous!

Yeah the drop off will be near the carparks at the top...once you get over that pain, it's all fun as RockNess isn't too big. I quite like the look of the arena!"

The walk is fine when sober and doesnt take long at all, one too many lager beers though and its neverending.

Ive just done a quick check on google maps and last year the distance from the day parking field to where the main stage was works out at a mile. Probably not too bad compared to other festivals but considering the day parking and drop off areas used to be parallel to the main stage its quite a difference.

The main arena itself looks good, seems a lot more compact and i like the look of it too.

Red isn't on the map, but will be used as overflow. the campervan area is in red this year.

Purple goes all the way back to where boutique used to be.
