Can people easily smuggle things into V? Also if they are caught what would happen to them?

Say if a person were thinking about bringing something into the festival, would it be caught at the door? eg sniffer dogs?

and if that person got in, is there a high risk of getting caught?

Well that would depend on what your smuggling in really? If its Pot/weed it would probably just be confiscated anything else is likely to involve the police like anywhere really.

We were searched on the way in last year but not being into drugs we were obviously fine apart from forgetting the no glass rule but it was ok as they provided a plastic bottle to pour the vodka in.

There were people with stuff last year so obviously only do random searches so guess what I’m saying it be prepared to be searched

I don't remember seeing dogs :S It basically consisted of a quick rummage around our stuff bags, tents bags etc..

There was a lot of police about last year though but then i'd expect that with the crowd Eminem attracts.

I don't recall seeing anything, didn't even have to show a ticket til I got to my campsite entrance, where there was just a few stewards checking tickets

I'm 15 and I'd like to get it into the arena itself. Thanks for the advice, do you think putting it in my hoody will work? I'll probably wear jeans and so the 'putting it down the pants' technique may restrict what I wear.

Other question, what's the penalty if you get caught? Do they just take it away? Fine you? Not let you in?

Never had any problems.

Stop worrying. They are mainly after the class A drugs and the dealers

The on site security don't care.
