Spurs have a big advantage over Liverpool in terms of location. A lot of footballers would rather live in London than Liverpool, I think I would be the opposite. If a team who has finished higher for the last few years, offers similar wages, its not a huge surprise someone would pick spurs.

Giroud to Arsenal confirmed. Should be a good signing. Plenty of options up front for them now, RVP (assuming they keep him), Podolski, Giroud all able to play centrally or wide in a front 3, with Walcott and Ox able to play wide. If Rosicky keeps his 2nd half season form going, and Arteta and Wilshere are back fit, along with Song, I reckon Arsenal are close to a title-challenging squad again. I doubt they'll win anything this season, but they've got a lot of business sorted early, which gives them a full pre-season and plenty of potential.
