Yes you're probably right...I just couldn't think of any other band when I wrote the post :P

But do you think we'll get announcement this week? ...or at least before Christmas? What bands do we think are certain to play RW13?

I've got:

The Killers, QOTSA, Maroon 5, Sigur Rós, Neon Trees

Yes I know... But fact is that the first weekend of July already is pretty busy for them, and at most other festivals they're headliner, a spot they'll never get at Werchter. But we'll see. If they'll be at RW it'll be confirmed before the holidays I guess...

karelaanzee, do you know who this Jonas Bosmans is? According to him, and if google translate is translating it correctly, we'll get Arctic Monkeys, Two Door Cinema Club, Placebo, The Killers, QOTSA, Sigur Rós, Bloc Party, The Maccabees, Jake Bugg, Ellie Goulding and Eels at RW13.

I have no idea who this guy is, but according to his blog he knew about Green Day a week before RW12: http://lifeismusic-j...aar-belgie.html

The good news, if this is true, we'll get The Killers, QOTSA, Arctic Monkeys and Sigur Rós...the bad news, there is no Soundgarden :/

I don't really trust it. In my opinon there are way too much big names. There's no doubt Eels, Ellie Goulding, Jake Bugg and Two Door Cinema Club have a big chance to be there. But Arctic Monkeys, Killers, Placebo, QOTSA, Sigur Ros and Bloc Party are all headline- or subheadline-sized bands. Guess there'll only be three from that list... Or four, if Sigur Ros agrees to play in The Barn.

And Green Day wasn't really the biggest surprise on the line-up... If he would've guessed Blur or Depeche mode I would've trusted him a bit more.

(BTW, are Soundgarden a serious rumour for next festival season?)

'Rock Werchter in conversation with Placebo, QOTSA, The Killers and more'

There may be a bit names are added to our list for Rock Werchter rumors. So yesterday was very restless after some Tweets on Twitter were hurled into the air.

One Jonas Bosmans tweeted yesterday because some rumors that may likely be the tweets from all and sundry. Explanation will follow, as the first list of names which he claims that they actually organizing Rock Werchter are busy.

These are according to Mr. Bosmans Arctic Monkeys, Two Door Cinema Club, Placebo, The Killers, Queens Of The Stone Age, Sigur Ros, Bloc Party, The Maccabees, Jake Bugg, Ellie Goulding and Eels. Also Alt-J seems to stand at the festival he knew later in a reaction yet to divulge.

If it's true I think this is more realistic:

Volbeat - QOTSA - Green Day - Prodigy

Arctic Monkeys - Kings of Leon - Blur

Bloc Party - The Killers - Rammstein

Placebo - Depeche Mode - Editors

+ Sigur Ros headlining the barn on thursday.

Bloc Party played before Killers en Coldplay in 09 btw, no dance-act afterwards.

Being pedantic here, but placebo headlined last time they played, just checked the programme and oasis and placebo headlined with prodigy on after.

I wouldn't be surprised if bloc party were further down the lineup, been away quite a while and not really come back with a bang.

As for the next announcement, main square are announcing December 10th, so possibly then.
