TITP forum?

No surprise that the 5th year, fake tanned, Hunter wellie sporting, weedgie lassys ensured massive crowds at all the pop acts though.

Seems to me that at T's 20th year the festival is at a bit of a crossroads. For me, the sort of line-up that Leeds puts out is about where T should be - obviously my own personal preference. Since going to Leeds for a couple of years I haven't enjoyed T as much and if I go anywhere next year it'll be Leeds.

Never though I'd feel too old for a festival at 24 but at T I most definitely did.

Kasabian were absolutely brilliant though - so all was not lost.

Just a note on the crowd size: there were clearly a lot less people this year. I'm sure the official version will contradict that but it seemed obvious to me and others that I spoke to that the place was quiet, in comparison to previous years. That said, seems like the pop acts were pulling some of the biggest crowds. I doubt that will go unnoticed with the organizers.

while I'm never a sucker for a press release that's put out on the day the gates open which says "sold out" - so I've no idea if it was or wasn't - the fact that it might have seemed a lot quieter this year doesn't necessarily get to mean that it wasn't sold out.

Anyone who has been to Glastonbury in a particularly bad year will have experienced the same feeling of emptiness - which is caused by people staying in their tents longer than they would if it were sunny, and not moving around the site anywhere near as much as they would if it were dry.

Yeah, I agree with all of that, but it was a really nice day for a festival on the Friday and it still wasn't as busy.

I could be wrong, but isn't it the case that they put a fair fewer tickets on sale for the Friday, because they don't open all the stages?

If that's right that would explain lower number on the Friday to some or all extent.

I think it's really sad to see the forum go, I for one had a ball at T in the Park the same as every year and find that most people on here make valid points but over the years I have witnessed a fair bit of animosity against the Scottish people directly from the person who runs it and for this you can feel free to ban me but as you have a responsibility to remain impartial I don't think this is possible from a man who has a chip on his shoulder when it comes to Scottish people, and on that note I have only one thing to say we are all the same regardless of where we come you would do good to remember that Neil

what you have witnessed is the same response to idiocy as any one else gets on these forums, Scottish or not.

The only time I have to make comments about fuckwit Scottish people is when moronic comments like this ^^^ appear.

The chip is yours, and with others like you - who stupidly believe that if someone speaks their mind tyo you it must be because of your nationalit6y.

You'll be a much wiser and nicer person if you put away your own happy racism and recognise that Scottish people are just as capable of being morons as anyone else - as you've just so perfectly proven.

We are not all the same. Not everyone is moronic small-minded racist like you are.

Perhaps put less vinegar on your chip? Then you'd be less bitter.

I don't think he had an issue with Scottish people, more people being proud of, in this case, their Scottishness or people talking up the Scottishness of the crowd/festival as if it were something magical when it isn't. It could have been any nationality or characteristic. Admittedly it can be hard to differentiate the two, especially if you're one of those people who values the Scottishness of everything and takes the doubting of the importance/relevance of Scottishness as an attack on Scotland.

The loss of the T in the Park forum upsets me. I don't post on here regularly, but I do read the forum a fair bit.

This was my 9th T in a row - many good points and many bad points - I thought the crowd was incredibly up for it considering the weather conditions but it did seem a bit rough...

I suppose what is annoying me slightly with the T forum going is the explanations we have been given and being painted with the same brush. Just because I'm Scottish and enjoy going to T in the Park does not make me a moron. I've enjoyed other festivals across the UK (Glasto, Rockness....) and I enjoy T the most. It's a shame that the fun is being ruined for the vast majority of people here who enjoy discussing the awesomeness that was/is T in the Park.

It's a shame, I'm quite a regular to this site but without the T in the Park forum, I can't imagine I'll really come back to the website that much. Have you not thought about how you are pushing away quite a sizeable chunk of your internet traffic? And most users North of Hadrian's Wall?

http://www.nme.com/news/nicki-minaj/64821

Nicki Minaj reportedly threw a "complete strop" at T In The Park on Sunday - after taking issue with the grass outside her dressing room.

The rapper was apparently so perturbed by the excessively lengthy foliage that she demanded the implementation of an emergency trimming procedure. The Sun reports a backstage source as saying: "Nicki went off on one about the grass around her area, saying it was far too long for her to walk on. She threw a complete strop, pouting and pointing and asking someone to get a lawnmower to sort it out."

Minaj came onstage an hour late and performed for just 20 minutes at the Kinross festival, provoking a chorus of disapproval from the disgruntled crowd. Festival-goer Charlotte Roseking told NME: "I've just waited longer than her whole set was; what is the point? I want to shove this glowstick up her arse."

The flamboyant rapper, who also performed at London's Wireless Festival on Saturday (July 7), will return to the UK for an arena tour in the autumn. The UK leg of her 'Pink Friday Roman Reloaded Tour' was recently extended from eight dates to ten.

Look, all this pleading to bring back the TITP forum is a bit pathetic. Clearly the guy's mind is made up and would it not be much easier to either discuss this year's festival in this section or start a separate T forum elsewhere? I'm sure admin would have no problem with the new forum being advertised on here as its pretty obvious that he'd rather have nothing to do with the festival in this area of the website.

and being painted with the same brush.

not everyone is.

I'd like to say that the morons know who they are, but many of the posts made since the forum got shut down gets to prove that they don't.

Oh, I never thought of any of that, how stupid of me. I was concentrating so much on the one part I really really wanted - a nice pleasant T forum - that everything else that is impacted by my choices slipped my mind.

Oh, hang on. I seem to have fallen into the same misapprehension that many T goers had, that caused the forum to be shut down in the first place.

Of course I realise that I'll lose traffic, and lose money. From where I'm sat, everything is still a MASSIVE win. :)

But you have to wonder about how sharp some minds are. There's these people calling me racist against Scotland, but wanting this 'racist' to re-open the T forum for them.

Something here stinks, and it ain't me.

You assume too much. No one gets free advertising here.

its pretty obvious that he'd rather have nothing to do with the festival in this area of the website.

You assume too much again. Not true either.

Perhaps take the briefest of looks around you, and wise up as a result?

People need to learn the meaning of racism.

Anyway shame the forum got closed, not sure why the trouble makers didn't get their IP's banned like any other forum.

Decent TITP this year, worst one I've been to though out of the six.

Swedish House Mafia gave a false sense of how good the weekend was just because they left me with the ultimate high after their superb set.

you are standing by that decision

I am.

and surely then, saying that you want nothing to do with the festival is a pretty fair comment, nah?

nope, a millions miles away.

I just want no part in having to deal with the morons it attracts and which end up posting here.

(for those hard of reading, what I've said there is not labelling all T goers as morons. If you've not got that, I suggest starting again at year one).

No need to be rude.

Not a single word of what I've written is rude.

Being brief, succinct and to the point is never rude when it's truthful.

And something does stink: your attitude.

which is of course nothing to do with me responding to some calling me racist and all sorts of other things.

Your time would be better spent taking up the issues with those who caused the issues - which isn't me. For 13 years I've run a T forum - all free of charge to those who are desperate to have a T forum, a T forum that T itself won't provide, cos they shut that down for some reason too. Now, I wonder why that was....?

Do you believe that fights don't happen because you don't witness them?

I don't see why I should accept people being abusive towards me. I'd rather go to festivals where people are friendly and you can walk around during the night feeling quite confident that you won't get stabbed.
