Wow, it's so weird to come back from having a total amazing time to hear people mention what a horrible time they had. Ok the weather was crap but you just have to make the best out of what you are given.

I had a great time, even waiting for Nikki Minaj to appear was still fun.

Didn't see any fights or aggression all weekend or any mud slinging. Was I at the same festival as you guys?

There has been some decent chat on the festival earlier which has seemed to descend into a debate of who is more racist, the Scots or the English? :S

To be fair, I've had my fair share of xenophobic comments fired my way at festivals and other events in England. There are muppets everywhere, not just TITP and it's forum.

there's definitely muppets everywhere, but not all muppets are the same.

There's a big difference between someone saying "you fucking <insert nationality here> c**t" and trying to start a fight or just simply throwing a punch because someone has an accent from outside of the country.

I wouldn't like to claim that no Scot ever has had violence used against them in England simply for their accent, but I've never once seen it and I've never once heard of it happening - anywhere, ever.

I very much doubt the same extremely low level happens in reverse given my own experience in Scotland in multiple years and the very many comments that have been posted by others on these forums over the years (and not a single report of the same in reverse by Scots in the forums of English festivals here).

Not all Scots are racist, far from it. But enough of them are for it to be an issue.

I understand why Neil closed the T forum now. A large group of people on this are still saying shit about him when he has done nothing wrong at all? It's up to him what he does on these forums and no one else can change it i suppose. But i agree with someone saying that the forums filled up with what i can only describe as "scum" just before the festival began.

However i do like the idea of the Sub forum type thing that if the T forums were opened again. Ones like the Glastonbury forums have but for T have it like someone said "New Announcements" "Stage Splits" stuff like that to make it less likely for people to constantly start posting new threads. Although this won't be fully effective i know but it would help to an extent i'm sure.

As for it seeming empty i can say that i was at the campsite most of the Saturday when it was raining quite hard and i could hear a large group of people around me who were also sitting about and i could constantly hear people walking by us now and again. I never felt once that the Friday felt emptier than the other days i was actually surprised by the amounts of people who i had seen especially coming in on the Thursday.

I'm not going to take your opinion personally but if you think that racism is less of an issue in other parts of the UK than it is in Scotland then you're seriously deluded.

I don't.

But I do believe that anti-English racism is far more prevalent and violent in Scotland than anti-Scottish racism of the same kind is within England.

I think branding a high number of Scots as racists is wholly unfair

I've not done that. I've said "enough of them are for it to be an issue".

I have never in all my years going to T seen anybody assaulted (verbally or physically) solely because of their accent.

unless you're English, or you hang around with those sorts of muppets, why would you? ;)

Rhys Bennett only played a handful of games and will be no loss whatsoever. Fulton looks a great prospect and next season could be a big one for him. Also have his brother and Faulds who both look excellent prospects. Midfield and defence shouldn't be our problem - worried about up top though...and yes, Jordan White certainly isn't the answer.

Anyway, Pie and Bovril for this shite.

Yeah not having an obvious and dedicated forum is likely to put off some people, I guess that's the aim. makes it less attractive and accessible to those who made it an unpleasant place.
