Ok so I have just got my early bird ticket and it will be my first time at tip! Not a total festival virgin thou! Anyways seeing as there is no forum, can anyone tell me what the camping zones are like, I understand they are colour coded and have quiet etc, how quiet is it in the quiet site? Obv want to get the Craig wi folk but don't want a load of neds pissing on the tent and thieving our drink. Just want to be where the majority of decent folk are so we can have a laugh! Always been lucky at belladrum and rockness and met some awesome people.

And can u bring the camping stove?

Can't wait tho, wish it was this weekend!

They say no to camping stoves but people take them anyway, you can take disposable bbqs I believe.

I don't think this year they had any quiet camp site as such although I could be wrong, but yellow campsite which is one of the furtherst back is not too crazy, bit of noise but nothing ear plugs won't take care of if you are trying to sleep.

Last weekend was my first T. I did the Tangerine Fields and after seeing the state of the general campsites I don't think I'd do a festival that didn't have Tangerine Fields. Having your own space, staff having an eye out on the field, a bunch of down to earth guys around you and ofc not having your tent submerged under mud were the bigger selling points.

They have other sizes for different amounts of people, that's the only one I know cus it was the one we looked at for this year (ended up just going down for the Saturday though) check other festivals that they sell for to give you a rough idea of prices for the bigger tents though

I now know what the other folk mean about the forum being taken down. Jeeesht, sarcasm really is the lowest form of wit! Cheers for the helpful answers folks and for the others, pardon me for being rather excited, even if it is a year away! There's no need to piss on other ppls parade!

Well that's a lie.

The reason it was taken down was because of these questions being asked all the time before the festival. There is another thread with loads of people talking about T and I was pointing out this thread wasn't needed, 1. Becuase of that thread and 2. Becuase it's a year away.

I'm sorry if my comment has given you a bad vibe but this whole thread is pointless.

I am new to this e festival thing so therefor didn't realise there were so many unwritten rules! And forgive me for thinking we live in a time where we have the right of free speech. Again thank you for the positive replies! Hope u all enjoy the festival when I comes around even if it is a whole year away and to those who have festivals this year, have fun and stay safe!

In my opinion this wasn't a silly question to ask, I know there are arseholes in every festival campsite but merely wanted some idea as to what is a reasonable campsite to camp in. As want to avoid as many neds as possible. Another reason being if there's no where which seems suitable then my friends and I will consider a tipee or something along those lines but because of the costs etc planning for that will need to happen pretty soon as most of my friends have kids so can't just magic up the cash last minute. So to get an idea now we can decide, book, pay and pay off in plenty time.

I appreciate you wont really give a shit about my wee story but I just wanted to point out that while everyone is entitled to an opinion it's just damn rude to shoot other people down. I asked a question hoping someone could give me an answer. And there have been some helpful posters, while others have just been awkward for the sake of it. As a first timer on this site I find it appalling that newbies have to be subjected to idiotic replies. Whatever happened to love thy neighbour??

Peace out :)

Like I originally said the campsites do change so I did give you advice. This info only comes out a few weeks for the festival. I appreciate you wanting to find out about tangerine fields and whatever in advance.

I didn't mean to shoot you down and I didn't expect other people to get pissy about this. All I was saying is there is a huge TITP thread filled with people talking about this year. And asking about next. I was just saying you should've post in there as you probably would have a got a quicker response.

T in the park is a great festival and I hope you enjoy it when the time comes! I might even see you there.

you have the right of free speech.

What you and no one else has is the right for me to give you the platform for your speaking.

It's worth people here remembering that. They might become wiser people if that fact is able to sink into their grey matter effectively.

People genuinely repeating threads because they're new is understandable, people doing it because they can't be bothered to look is annoying.

What's worse though is when you point out to people that there are other threads already and they might be a better place to look for information and then get jumped on for being a forum nazi.

It should be pointed out when threads are being repeated because the less this happens then a better and easier to use place the forum is for all users, and also the person starting the thread is far more likely to find useful information in an existing thread rather than waiting for the same information to be repeated in their new one. They just needs to stop getting their knickers in a twist and getting pissy when it's pointed out to them.

Can i just i put a question on a thread and it didnt get answered at all so i think making a new thread for ppl that have never been is great. Makes me not want to ask my question now i have a child and want to buy stuff for titp nxt yr at tge end of summer when everything is cheaper but dont think i will bother now with my question as wouldnt want a stupid answer 2 it.

Yeah crystal I don't blame you! I've decide to just do what I think is best, and screw asking for advice! I'm going to have an amazing time no matter what. The Facebook fan page is a lot more helpful and its fairly entertaining with all the weird and wonderful folk on it!! Try there!! Certainly less people jumpin down it neck there!!

Have a great time when the time comes!!

And for me I shall shut down my account!! Nae point in staying!!
