Hi lads;

this will be my first year in Beni this year and I was just wondering how long the bus journey takes from Barcelona airport to Benicassim?

Alright Johnny,

It takes about 3.5/4 hours with a pit-stop about half way, so not too bad!

i'd say take your own tent and put it in your hand luggage (put all tent poles and tent pegs in suitcase or w.e luggage bag you take). i took a suitcase last year and regretted it because there's a loads of stoney paths leading up to the site and its a nightmare pulling your suitcase uphill through it.

the pre-erected tents are put out all in lines and last year they were in a separate part of the camp site, sort of cordoned off by a fence, i also don't recall hardly any of them being in use.

Next tuesday will be another batch of acts announced, (not the last headliner, as it will be announced in a forthnight)...

Regarding the local bus pass, it cost €12.50 for unlimited travel for 8 days with-in the Benicassim área.

FIB Camping sites: the Campfest which is included in your admission ticket is about 1 mile from the beach and the Villacamp, extra €80/€90 per person is approx 3/4 mile from the beach,

Is it easy enough to fly and get there?

Too hot to sleep? and what times do the bands play, is it through the night?

Based on last year:

Camping didn't get full still loads of room, however camping under shaded canopy will get full by Tuesday.

Flights, fly to alicante, Barcelona, rues or Valencia, eu fests run a great resonably priced transfer service.

It gets really hot in the tent yes but you can get by.

Music starts at around 6-6:30pm and runs all the way through till about 6am, main stage acts finish at 4am. Headliners times vary, last year bob Dylan played at 9pm compared to stone roses at 1:30 am

I take it shaded areas are the spots getting taken quickly! Is it reasonably priced for alcohol/food or around the same as UK fests?

Which airport is closest/more convient, but glad all do transfers How much were these last year do you know?
