I would actually be content if Kasabian headlined Benicassim. Better than most of the other bands which were actually rumoured here in the last few weeks.

It was abit annoying for us last year because we couldn't find the eufest rep in the airport because there was no signs pointing anywhere outside, especially in the arrivals bit and we didn't realise we had to walk up to the other end of the airport to find the rep...

Kasabian seem like good shout. Hard Rock Calling is their only UK festival appearance and tickets for that go on sale on Friday. Seems to fit in with an announcement for Beni next Tuesday.

Don't really know people are down on them. Great live band, 4 quality albums. You also get the feeling they're in it for the right reasons, rather than the souless money making exploits of certain other headline acts.

People are down on them probably because they are not an exciting headliner, and majority of people who have been to festivals will have seen them once or twice. They are far from a bad band, just not a band worthy of this wait for however many months

^{what is peoples idea of an 'Exciting' Headliner?? and what determins 'exciting'. if exciting is determined by how good a band is live then Kasabian are certainly exciting. Personally id like it to be someone else due the fact it would be my third time seeing them come beni, but look at the acts touring currently and most fest have the exact same set of headliners, i think there is 3/4 fest with arctics, kol, green day, deepeche mode on their line up, blur also can be added. there isnt that big of a pool of acts out there worthy of headline status of major fests. if the headliners are QOTSA, arctics, kasabian, the killers, then i think beni have done pretty well there personally.}

Does anyone have any clue about the CAMPFEST, what it's like? and if when you book your tent to be ready made, whether you put all the names of people down that will be using the tent or if you just put one name down equals one tent....?

Have to say, my mates and I would be over the moon if Kasabian were to be announced as the final headliner for Benicassim. Along with Arctic Monkeys, they've been the best rock band in Britain by a mile, since The Libertines IMO. Seen them twice on tour and they certainly put on a decent show. Getting quite revved up that the rumours are beginning to look stronger.

Failing that, I'd be delighted if The Prodigy were announced, as I've heard they're really something else live. In terms of other acts, judging by other line-ups, I wouldn't be surprised to see Editors and Beady Eye somewhere as well. Hopefully The Fratellis make an appearance, for the sake of all the travelling Scots!
