FIB advertise lockers, would assume you'd fire your passport and valuables in there. I'd only keep a bit of cash on me if I was camping, I'd fire some in my locker and just have a small amount on me and use a debit/credit card when buying stuff.

On spending money, In spain it's easy to do 50 or 75 euros in a night especially if you're drinking spirits or imported lagers or ciders in.

I think I spent in the region of 15 euros a day. The alcohol is really that cheap so I think I spent about 8 on alcohol and 7 on food.

I am a sting bastard though. Only eat out once and survived on hummus and bread for a week. I now wonder why I don't like hummus.

Anyway... I spent roughly 50-60 Euros a day in benicassim. That included food, alcohol, the odd taxi to and from the beach or supermarket, a couple of beers whilst in the arena and maybe a charge of my mobile or something similar.

I dont know how anyone could do each day on less than about 20-30 Euros and fully enjoy themselves, but fair play.

Any groups of 4-5 I would seriously consider looking into renting a car, its cost me £165 (includes full tank of petrol and can be returned empty) between 4 of us.

We can then use it to cool down (air-con) - maybe have a nap on the back seat, store valuables, pop to supermarket to do the beer run without having to wait in ridiculous taxi ques. Pop to the beach, charge phones (on site charge 5 Euros). As well as visit some other local towns.

- if you add on top the cost of trains or transfers to your respective airports can be anything upwards of 20-30 per person each way seems like a no brainer to me!?!!??!

Big daddybear had his 5 star hotel, no idea what a spent a day last year.

IMO u should not go if ur a tight arse or canni afford it.

Does anybody know what the VIP area is like? (Not the camping section) the area with comfy sofas etc - also the staged areas?

I managed to get hold of some VIP tickets this year for the price of normal tickets so thought why not!

Im a big fan of slumming it and getting right in the mix so not sure I will particularly get the benefits from the ticket but will certainly have a gander!

I do not know how ribas_oasis understants de renfe prices tables, the normal single fare from Barcelona to Benicassim is around 34.20 (look at 20th June 2013), you get a 20% discount if you buy a return (34.20 - 20% = 27.35 for each journey + 4 for the airport to Barcelona-sans station , will cost you 31.35 each way

not much saving than booking a coach witch takes you from/to the terminal 2 to/from the festival arena. prices at the moment are 33.75 from the two major coach companies offering airport transfers.

July/Agust prices not published yet, but I am sure they will go up and not down.

yeah the vip area is nice! its a nice play to be able to chill, clean toilets and non busy bar! i also met most of last years acts there last year including example, ed sheeran, bbd, noel gallgher loads more!

Out of our group of 4, 2 of us have VIP tickets but the other 2 are still trying to source some cut-price VIP Tickets,

Does anybody know if this website is genuine?

I know its not an official supplier and cant see how they can sell VIP tickets for cheaper than the festival unless they have agreed a bulk buy discount? my thoughts are if it looks too good to be true it usually is...?

What are the cheapest/best ways of getting to the festival from your experience and what you guys are doing this year? Flew from Stansted to Alicante last year and transferred to Beni which worked well but it seems more expensive this year, maybe because i've left it later... Any ideas?
