Symband
Hi everybody, Started reading this forum from page 1, and got to page 15 before I saw that there were 86 pages! Skipped to 86 and read back a few, so apologies if my questions are answered elsewhere. I am an oldie, I'll be 50 a day after we leave Beni, and this will be my first festival! Basically, we've got 16 year old twins and offered them the choice of holiday this year because of all their GCSE hard work, and they suggested Beni never thinking my wife or I would say yes, but we did! The only thing we insisted on was Villa Camp. It has now grown, and about 7 of their equally excited 16 year old friends are also coming. We as a family are driving all the way from Essex, taking 4 or 5 days to get there with days out en route. We've booked a hotel for the Sunday night so we can get to the site as early as possible on the Monday to get a good spot for all our tents (we are carrying tents for everyone, the 7 friends are flying in with hand luggage). My questions please: 1) What order should we do things in on arrival? Can we drive onto Villa Camp to drop off the tents etc, or should we go to the car park then walk to Villa Camp, and do we get our festival bracelets before we do any of this? 2) Once parked, can we get in and out easily if we want to use the car for exploring, or is it basically once you're in, your car stays there for the week? 3) How good is site security? Would you leave phones etc in the tent or carry them with you always. (I think i know this one, but want to ask!) 4) Any drugs about? With 9 16 year olds, we want to be away from any dealers etc (not because any of ours would, but don't want the atmosphere of it etc). Thanks, and if you see an old, gray haired fat bloke having the time of his life, say Hi to me! Edited June 19, 2013 by Symband

Simonb1980
Anyone can take a guess at a clashfinder based on last year times and good guesses?
foolee
If anyone is interested I've done a little clashfinder based on last years times with a little bit of guesswork to who will close each stage with the dancer acts and djs! Symband
DP313 and Tom, Thanks for the replies, really useful. I think I was assuming that everyone arrives as early as possible on the first day and it's all a bit hectic at 9am on the Monday. Is that the case or do most people arrive later in the week? We really want a good pitch near the showers and a bar if possible!

wilko8
My friend who is coming to beni recently had an incident involving an axe and his leg. Yes, you read that correctly. So needless to say, he is having major difficulties walking/standing etc. does anyone know whether there is a disabled area at beni he could use? Chief Scout
The Jake Bugg, Woodkid and Splashh potential clash is a bit of a bummer. apart from that all looks alright for me, the decision to put Johnny Marr up against Beady Eye or Primal Scream (whatever way round they play) is a bit of a strange one though
Symband
Am I getting to be a pest? One more .. How far from Villa Camp is the car park, and in terms of football pitches, just how big is Villa Camp? Really grateful to everyone so far. karl3
24 days till we depart for Alicante!! We're spending the Sunday night there (14th) before getting the train to Benni on the Monday morning, if anyone is in Alicante and fancies a pre benni warm up party then you'll find me and a couple of mates in one of the bars by the marina. I was excited last year but having been there and done it now I'm even more excited this year because I know just how good it is - yes it really is that good. The lineup may not be amazing but I've got plenty of acts to keep me happy and to be honest the music isn't what makes this festival as you will either find out or know if you've been before. I'm actually looking forward to a minus 4 shower! If you have half as good a time as I did last year then you're in for a treat...

Beckyt23
Hi, It's my first time at benicassim this year so just wanted some info to have a bit of peace of mind. Is the best way to travel from airport to the festival the coaches (eufest) or train? Will arriving at the camp site at night be ok & easy enough to navigate to get our heads down before setting up properly in the morning? How do people carry their tent on the plane journey? Our plan is to get pop up tents and stick them in a suitcase, don't know if that's the best plan? How safe is the campsite for everything? Does anyone have any tips for first timers at the festival (as I've definitely forgotten most of my Qs)? Thanks

MayorBee
Just gonna write this again, as I'm being a massive worry wart about it, and am hoping someone can help. Is anyone able to post a photo of their benicassim ticket? (Even if it's far enough away so that you can't read the details on it) I just want to make sure I've printed the right thing! Definitely don't want to turn up without the ticket =/. Or at least describe what the printed out ticket looks like/what details are on it? Would be immensely appreciated

Josh_46
Hey guys! I'm selling a spare ticket I have for this year's festival and was wondering if anyone needs one/knows someone who does? I have a villacamp pass as well and will be open to offers as I just need a quick sale. I bought two + villa camp at face value but the guy who was meant to come with me can't get the time off work. I understand people will have reservations about buying online so I'd be happy to answer any and all questions you might have, just message me!
