I saw them at queen Margaret's union just before I don't want a lover came out, it was very cool, saw them a few years later at meadowbank supporting simple minds along with the silencers a decent gig...

Of the acts announced for Wireless, which is on the same weekend, the realistic options I would like to see would be John Legend, Porter Robinson and it must be about time that TITP booked Nas he would be such a good act to get as he is rarely in Scotland, never a better opportunity

If William (I refuse to put stupid dots in for him) was announced I would be very depressed. As he'd probably take a mid-main or NME slot that would be filled very nicely by The Gaslight Anthem, Feeder, Jimmy Eat World or Brand New.

The time that Texas headlined the main stage I left early. You can spot the retrofest acts like Deacon Blue. Travis, and Texas booked purely for their Tartan Shortbread appeal. None of these bands have been released anything remotely successful in a long long time.

Those type of bookings remind me of Edinburgh, where I avoid the high street like the plague for its tartan tat and tourists.

Where the fuck are the rock acts on the bill, and why is shite like this getting booked instead of the likes of Queens of the Stone Age?

Does anyone have an idea whether Kraftwerk & Phoenix will or might clash on the Friday? They are literally the only things motivating me to attend for a day (no desire to do the whole weekend any more due to both the line-ups & the overwhelming number of neds in the camp site who year upon year ruin it for far too many) but I'm a wee bit reluctant to cough up nearly 100 quid for the pleasure.

No. They played Rockness 2008 but not T. I don't know of a single band that has played both in the same year. I'm sure there may be a spit n sawdust piss take ceilidh type band that's probably done it, you know the type that Mumfords should be rubbing shoulders with.
