Mumford and Sons are shit and not worth a headline spot there shite live too, and rihanna don't want to even go there. So can't believe the sat is sold out if any day was to be sold out it would have to be the Sunday! If Geoff stop wasting money on flyers and try and get a decent headliner instead.

I youtubed Hactivist, they are shite, I certainly don't need the live version of it. T IMO still overall, bar a bit of a weak Friday has a decent lineup throughout the day.

End of the day it might not add up to what it did years ago, hell some of the mid 90's lineups were very good, but a big reason for that is because the quality of acts around to book then was either better or they were once better than they are now. The difference is now, while some have got older, grown out of that stuff, realized that what we once thought was great isn't now, the new stuff that has came in to represent that festival isn't to our taste but is to people who were our age back then now.

The thing is, a festival can't necessarily book a lineup for a festival with bands that don't exist, bar the obvious of Biffy Clyro this year.

I don't rate this year R&L but I accept for me, the fest has passed, I'm older than what the fest is booked for now but I'm not going to lay in to it. You don't like so you either don't go and not replace with anything or find something that caters more. If people still enjoy it, want to go, experience etc etc, then each to their own.

I know myself that I will offer my thoughts on T after I go as I know for a fact at least 3 on here will ask me what I thought and if I didn't like I'll be open, I won't return so it is a one time only and if I didn't like there is no return.

I think devilman just expects TITP to get a lineup full of rock bands, sell out etc etc, when its in a big pool of fests where only one really sells out/sells quick now.

Jools Holland hosted a show with Paula Yates called The Tube that played live music and covered other forms of entertainment. Perhaps reviving that type of format not necessarily with Jools for prime time TV would be better?

I was there as well and would rank that as the best gig I've ever been to. Absolutely incredible. If he was announced for T next year I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Dunno how he manages to play for 3+ hours every 2nd night. I was still recovering from it today!

30STM and Paramore maybe. If they wanted QOTSA they could have had them this year. The last time 30STM played I quite enjoyed them but apparently they were shite at Download last week with Letto being a complete dick. One of the complaints was that he hardly sang any of the songs, getting crowd to do it all instead. I think a pished up T crowd would quite like that though.

I can definitely see Paramore being booked as a sub. 30STM as perhaps 3rd from the top. QOTSA would be brilliant next year, but I have little faith in Geoff Ellis at this point. Perhaps if he wants a touch of diversity in the lineup or a guitar based alternative to a pop headliner.
