Anyone that thinks music is age based is a bit daft. Good music is good music. What has changed is the ability for crap performers who are all image and no talent to dupe punters into paying to watch them. That won't last for long or at least I hope it won't.

Red Day I'll gladly have a pint with you, or indeed anyone on here. That's half the fun of festivals for me - meeting people.

I'm just back from Frankfurt and Munich where I saw Skink Anansie and Seether. It was beyond ace, not least because of all the really friendly people we met, including Kas from SA and Mikkey Dee out of Motorhead. Rylan will be the big act announced tomorrow :)

Rhianna? Mumford and sons? T20 - are you kidding?! I didn't make myself a few hundred pounds poorer just before Christmas for crap like this, as has already been said - this used to be a rock festival. Disappointed already.

Seing as T has never been a rock festival that comment is totally invalid.

Got early bird tickets expecting big things...totally gutted so far. Where is the rock and indie???!!!!????

There have been 7 acts announced, 7. That's out of 200 odd? Plenty of time for Indie and "rock", then again I thought Jake Bugg was classified as Indie, meh.

Fact is there are not many big Indy bands out there that would demand a headline spot, and I'm saying that as Indy being my favourite genre.

Told you so folks! Had a feeling about Rhianna.

I've said it previously and I'll say it again, this site does not accurately reflect the mindset of 99% of people that go to T, everyone else I've talked to "gets it", then again I'm talking to 18-20 year olds who are exactly the people that T are aiming at.

Boom, I agree with that.

Fwiw I think it's a cracking announcement, Mumford and Sons? tremendous Friday headliner, the Arctic Monkeys done it a few years ago despite only having one album out at the time, Mumford and Sons have two, good Friday headliner.

Rhianna? She sells albums and records like no one else, the day which she gets announced on will sell out easily.

The Script are a pretty safe announcement, they had a really good crowd at the main stage a couple of years ago and will do so again following how well they're recent album done.

Jake Bugg I'm really, really excited about though, I think he's got great talent and I'm really looking forward to seing him.

Monsters and Men have got one song I know of so I'm not going to comment on them tbf....

All in all a really good announcement, my twitter feed was full of positive remarks which can only be a good thing. Thank fuck they never went for some sort of Green Day shite announcement.
