I think the whole "comeback" is brilliant and classic Bowie - can't believe news never got out about this prior to today when they announced it. I am a very happy boy today - never ever thought this day would come I had lost hope around 2011 we'd ever see Bowie surface.

Love the new song reminds me a bit of "this is not America". Can't wait to hear the album.

Re live dates & festivals, I wouldn't be surprised if he has nothing booked at the moment - I think him being booked would have obviously increased the amount of people who knew something was in the works and chances are someone would have spoken to the press and word would have gotten out long before now.

I can't see him doing any large shows this summer - maybe some arena shows though and possibly festival dates next year. Think most fests would have booked their headliners already and I don't think many, if any, promoters would have known he was back on the go.

Hopefully Geoff books him and demotes the Killers to sub.... THAT would guarentee a sell out! Know deep down it won't happen though

I think it's quite poor to be honest, I think that because it's Bowie and we've all missed it allot of people have labelled it as good without really listening to it, I mean it's just great to have him back.

Bowie is old man's music and has no relevance at T. Don't get your hopes up folks it's just not T's demographic. Personally I'm not sure about teh single but I suspect it's a grower. Did it make the Radio 1 playlist? I heard it on Radio Quiet FM mates.

it's growing on me, and I've not given it a proper listen yet.

I'd like to think that Bowie's music could stretch over the age gap, making him still somewhat relevant as a T headliner. I'm 19 and would pay a limb or two to see him. I have great memories of bouncing about to his greatest hits in the car when I was little.

Isn't Elvis that guy who did the dance song for the Nike advert a few years back? Wouldn't have thought he's old enough to have released records.

I dont like elvis, then again I dont like gaga and dont put her records on either.

I do though put records from dylan, terry callier and eric bibb on alot.

It wouldn't be a wild guess for me to follow that with saying that it's exceeding likely that overall, the music that means most to you is music that is contemporary to your generation. That might be wrong in your particular case (I've no idea) because there's always exceptions, but for the huge majority that's how it works.

I think the new Bowie song is great aswell, slow start but it definitely builds up to a typical Bowie track that could have been released in his heyday

Tickets go on sale round about mid February so main announcement should be first or second week

They will have the token couple of heavy acts playing but im pretty sure SOAD will not be one of them

If SOAD where to play they'd headline NME, and I fear they would get a Nine Inch Nails sized crowd, despite putting on a hell of a show. Lineup usually out come the end of February for main ticket batch.
