Shuttle Bus service to Weston Park

I've never had to get the shuttle bus to Weston Park before, but it looks as though this year I'm going to have to, as my mate is working Friday, and can't get to V until the evening.

V Festival website says it's from Fryer Street, Wolves and it's £8. Can you pre-book or is just turn up and queue?

Are you limited to what you can take on the bus? I will have a tent, rucksack and smallish trolley with me.

Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

You just turn up and get in the queue - I've used it 3 times and never paid yet but the drivers were eager to get going. You are limited in the sense that the bus may be full with people and gear but actually limited - not that I know of. I took two suitcases, a golf bag and two rucksacks last time and got on fine :)

Yeah just get in the queue. I did pay last year some women came round and sold tickets when we got towards the front of the queue. People were getting on with loads of stuff I wouldn't worry about it. but you could take the essentials (tent and beer) then give your mate some stuff to bring in his car...will save some hassle!

Thanks for the replies :)

So if I take a trolley will I have to put it in the boot of the bus, or lift it on with me?

Also the V Festival website, says the first bus leaves at 8am.

Is this true, or do they leave earlier, and how busy is it at that time?

I want to get to Weston Park as early as possible. Cheers.

We got into the queue at around 8-8:30 I think and there were a fair few people there already. the buses hadn't started there was quite a delay for some reason. Once the buses started though the queue moved quickly. Got stuck in loads of traffic on the bus too (before it took a shortcut) so the earlier you're on it the less traffic will be on the roads I should imagine. We eventually got to V for about 11-11:30! The sooner you can get to the queue the better I'd say. You have to take everything onto the bus with you, nothing went in the boot when I was there. I went from Stafford so don't know if it's any different...shouldn't imagine so!
