Getting home on the Friday...

From a pal:

Hi everyone, I've got a day ticket for Friday mainly to see The Cure (so can't miss any of their set). I wrongly assumed that there'd be trains or busses into London at later than usual times, due to the thousands of people that will be leaving the site - however there doesn't seem to be any. What do day ticket holders do once the music's over?

I seem to remember a few years ago there was a day ticket camping site, but can't see anything about this this year?

I only need to get back to Twickenham, so can use both London lines from Reading - if I can get into London or Kingston etc I can get nightbusses back to Twickenham.

If we do have to wait until the next day, what time will we be kicked out of the arena? And is there much to do after the headliners? Thanks.

Never heard of a day ticket campsite existing?

A quick check on trainline.com shows that there are trains into London from Reading at 1.15am (last one of the night) and 4.10am (1st one of the 'morning') so you could get either one of those...either walk back to the station after The Cure and get the 1.15am one, or mill about in the campsites our outside one of the bars and get the 4.10am one. Heck you could even just go into a bar in Reading city centre till about 3am if you don't want to be a trek away!
