Shiny Nosehair
G'day folks First time at Reading for me. One of my little pleasures at The V festivals is the Carling Can Exchange. Take any old can in pretty much, walk out with an ice cold Carling Is there anything similar at Reading ? Cheers in advance !

glasto-worker
Shot below was from Reading 2005 as my Team was running it and as you can see it was not always cheap cans that were handed in. Carling pulled out for commercial reasons and the Beer Amnesty was dropped. Its a very expensive promotion and most people who were surveyed could remember the name ' Cold Beer Amnesty ' but not many linked the name Carling to it. Beer Contracts normally run for seven years so you never know in a few years they may wish to tender for it again.
mrtourette
What happened to all the cans that were handed in?

glasto-worker
Will have to check up on this but it may be 2014 that the beer contract goes up for tender so you never know Carling may try to win the beer contract back.
