I can't say i'm surprised.

The Bloc fiasco undermined a lot of confidence in LPG. I got to see a few emails that were going in various directions, which suggested that it might fall apart.

In an environment like London, the appeal of a sparce, brownfield site was never likely to be particuarly strong. Throw in the weather and the Bloc debacle, and its been doomed for a while

It's astounding that people have been this stupid, thinking there'd be a financial boost around the games. It didn't happen in Athens, it didn't happen in Sydney, and it's not happening in London.

For every person who is attracted by the games, two people avoid doing what they'd normally do because of the games. It doesn't take a genius to work out why.

One of the things that is annoying me recently is this whole deeming of the games as a "success". It's great GB have gone faster on some bikes than anybody else but to me, it takes a lot more for a games to be deemed a success.
