Weather at Weston

Now we're closer weather predictions shouldn't be too far of the mark, and it's looking pretty bleak..

At the moment accuweather is saying a couple of showers for all 3 days....maybe it's getting better! I find Accuweather always changed last min anyway!

It's looking like friday at least is going to be a washout with showers throughout saturday and sunday too, going to need those poncho's and wellies!

is green camp on high ground then? anyone know of any other camps that wont end up like the thames?

The site is reasonably flat, but Green is up something of a hill so it's the highest ground in the park.

Avoided anything that looks lower than the surrounding land and keep away from busy thoroughfares as they will get muddiest.

Never been to a wet V, so not sure how bad the mud actually gets.

There is a massive downpour forecast for tomorrow, so hopefully that will have time to dry off before we all arrive and cut the place up.

2008 was awful, though I don't recall the campsite (apart from the paths) being too bad in Red, nor when i visited blue, though the trucks couldnt get to the toilets in blue so they were pretty bad on the sunday night!

Im just 10 minutes from weston park site and its been dry most of the week, today is going to piss it down though and the forecast isnt to promising.

The campsites themselves dont get to bad, The main walkways can be wellie deep in places like it was in 08 when the whole arena flooded but in other wet years weston doesnt get to bad

The weather forecasts don't generally look too bad. Friday may be a bit damp but nothing that'll turn the place into the mudbath that '08 was. The weekend looks alright, bit drizzly perhaps but nothing that a half decent waterproof jacket from sportsdirect won't protect you from.

The campsites don't get too bad away from the paths, the arena has gotten a little bit tasty in the past.

from past festival experience it doesnt matter if it doesnt rain saturday and sunday, its friday that matters. if it rains friday (which it looks like its going to do all day) then the mud is there for the whole weekend.

not being able to sit on the grass and listen to the bands with a beer in my hand and the sun on my face upsets me. son of a god damn raining bitch! im just gonna have to get totally steaming instead and pretend its sunny!

I live local, today has been shocking so I imagine the ground will be very saturated. This being followed by rain tomorrow and Friday doesn't sound particularly great.

Get the wellies ready people! depending on which website you get the weather report it changes a bit, friday is a wet day but saturday and sunday could be ok, although Im guessing it will already be a mud bath by then.

on the plus side *shows age here* when it rains through the night there is less trouble and you can sleep better!!!! its the only plus to rain i can think of!
