Festival first time

Hi everyone

On Friday I will be going to Weston park for my first ever festival, literally have no idea what to expect so hoping for abit of help as I'm getting apprehensive before it all kicks off.

1) once parked up where do i go?...

2) What do i do with my ticket ?

3) do I go in, pitch my tent and then go back to the car to collect other things or take it all in straight away, as soon as I first arrive?

4) which campsite would be best for a first timer?(love abit of atmosphere and a late booze but not into all this tent burning I've been reading about )

Hi, Im going to answer most of your queries out of order lol.

Once you get parked up there is usually a crowd to follow or a pretty visible queue!

We always take down our rucksacks with bedding, kettle clothes and tent (essentials basically) (oh and some cold cans for the time spent queuing!

You find a spot and pitch your tent then make your way down towards the arena where there is a wristband exchange, Once you have exchanged your ticket for your wristband you can then go back and forwards to your car as often as you like (or can be bothered!) We go back and get our cool box, food, drink, chairs etc.

Thats the way we do it, how others do it may be different but this method has seen us good for years!

As to which campsite, well id avoid rowdy red as that seems to be the main busy camp (although we camped their previously with no hassle) we have stuck to blue most years about middle of the whole blue camp and most years managed to get some sleep
