No, but there's a possibility that they will and if it does happen then my point becomes redundant. I could have said "but if they do this will change" but I couldn't be bothered so just typed "yet" to try and signify that the situation could change, although now in explaining that I've typed more than I would have if I'd have done the job properly in the first place. Definitely a lesson to be learned. Also Saturday tickets are sold out at some vendors but available at others so it looks like that's very close to selling out, so it is a distinct possibility.

Its been increased to 93,000 people aswell...Unlucky, off to Leeds i go for the same price but with more space, more acts, late night entertainment, less people, and most inprtantly not being able to walk 5mins to a tesco!

Wh

All ive done is stated the positives i belive going to Leeds has over busy and quiet reading. No intention at all to start this...I just didnt want someone to be petty towards me.

Ive been to both festvials, Reading is more like party in the park than a festival!

Sorry to offend anyone!

I find it a bit pointless to argue over reading/leeds. They are fundamentally the same festival, but each have their own advantages. Leeds has the after hours entertainment, Reading has the decent transport links and you can pop into town to stock up on booze when you run out.

A bit harsh Benj, PurpleFire's been posting here long enough for me to get the impression that it's all fun and games with him/her and never anything serious. Not like some of the others who genuinely want to start an argument about it even though we all know Reading is better.

Who the hell do you think you are? I didnt come on here to visit a sodding psychologist.

I think your reading into my comments a bit to much for your own health! My comments have no intention to make people think badley about themsleves or there actions of going to reading and not leeds just because (in what you belive i have) an ability to put other peoples intrest down because Im trying to one up everyone else to make myslef feel better because im not confortbale in my own skin!

I have a degree in sports science, my dissertation was in Sports Psychology...I understand what you are saying but on a forum them is no way of understanding or being 100% clear that it was me being sarcastic and having a bit of banter. If we were in person you could see that but from words on a screen i dont think you can! It was Banter and me trying to push forward that my case that Leeds is better than Reading in a lightharted way which should not have come to this!

Apologies but that is completely how it came across (to me), a weird attempt to defend Leeds as it had not sold out.

The whole Reading V Leeds thing has been done to death, some folk will prefer one, some folk will prefer the other, for many differing reasons, there's no need for someone to bring it into every random thread

The History thing is irrelevant these days I reckon, Leeds has easily been around long enough now to stand on its own 2 feet and has its own generation of history to look back on.

Reading's main advantage (to organisers) is its catchment area, which is the reason it will have sold out as opposed to any other 'my festival is better than yours purposes'
