I for one am very happy with the poor ticket sales this year. I've noticed a number of 2 x Red camping tickets on ebay with Buy It Now prices of £200, basically buy one get one free! In the ten years of going to V I cannot recall tickets being this cheap. There was even a HotUKDeal posted today buy one ticket agent selling at 35% reduction!

I always buy my ticket in the early bird sale so its a bit gutting in some respects, but great in others. This may finally give the organisers that kick up the backside to sort out their recycling of acts year on year and the fact that they can no longer make lazy bookings. Many loyal fans have now left the festival, and i for one have been close in the past. But I still enjoy the weekend and always manage to pick enough bands to justify the cost.

The other major benefit is i reckon it will be a hell of a lot less crowded this year, which is always a good thing, and with less chavs.

Pretty upset, got my ticket before the full announcement, only going for a friends 40th, if only I had waited, as having to put up with Olly Murs, Cher Lloyd, Tulisa and Dappy may have been not as painful at £90 a weekend ticket.. at £180 makes my churn... but I guess you have to take a hit for the team :-)

i think this could have a bad impact on next year though. last year it sold out pretty quickly i think. And the sunday tickets went instantly (my girlfriend tried to get us two tickets. i was pretty relieved when she didn't get any)

This will show the organisers that acts like Eminem and Rihanna sell tickets, instead of indie bands like the the killers and stone roses which sell less well.

Looks like more manufactured pop coming our way i'm afraid.
