So wickerman have announced primal scream headlining friday, not out of the realms of possibility that they could travel 60 miles down the road or so and make an appearance as saturday or sunday headliner at kendal. Make a weekend of it !

Sigur Ros for Jodrell, hmmm dont float my boat.

Anyone heard of 'Peace'? New band doing the rounds with hipsters on radio 1. Think they are nailed on to do Kendal, also Pigeon Detectives are announcing new album next week so they could well make an appearance.

Sigur Ros does seem like a band that's taylor made for the jodrell band setting though. Good booking that will attract a more specific crowd rather than the mainstream festival goer

The Eden Festival, Moffat , Dumfries and Galloway. Scotland. 7th, 8th & 9th of June.

2 tickets for sale. Price on the gate will be £99. I paid £59 plus £6 booking fee ( early bird ) x 2 = £130.00.

Will take £100 for the pair as can no longer attend. Already have paper tickets and will provide e-mail from Eden suggesting that I sell them on as non-refundable. Kids under 12 go free and do not need a ticket.

Will throw in a see you Jimmy bunnet !

Wor lasses parents have a cottage in Dumfries but I can't see me being able to get the time off work. Got the roses in Glasgow the week after as well where im sure we'll catch up for a pint before the gig, if only to calm jonnies nerves as by then the t in the park crowd will have a bounty on his head, plus he reckons I've booked us in to a doss hoose for the night !

Shandys are on me ( well first round anyway ) in the Horseshoe bar pre-Roses. I may even stretch to full strength if I can shift those darned Eden tickets. I see from the tickets the chaos is from 4pm onwards on the Green. Would guess the View will open round about 5pm.

Got Jake Bugg and King Charles in Glasgow over the next couple of months so will do my best to find a juke box featuring some old Scots classics . It won`t be easy touring round all those bars but I`ll do my best.

I see Franz Ferdinand are warming up for the summer by playing a couple of Festivals in Brazil / Chile in April. The lengths people will go to to keep their Kendal set secret

Been thinking about that wikerman announcement. Way i see it is i reckon they def went early as KC has Primal Scream as well.

After all they say only Scottish festival appearance not UK. If Wickerman blew their budget on the Friday night and then found KC had the Saturday/Sunday then wouldnt you announce early. Afterall most people would prob want to go at a weekend and have somewhere easier/bigger to see them. If they went late and it was the case they risk being left in the lurch with unsold tickets. Gut feel for me is that PS will play Sunday at KC

I think they're may be an element of truth to that however you can't discount the fact that both wickerman and kc clash on the same weekend this year, it could just be a case of the wickerman people going a lot earlier with their announcement so that its not left forgotten about, Be happy if it was primals, I am seeing them 5 weeks earlier supporting the roses so I'm not that fussed if its not them.
