Top 5 things to do?

It's my first time this year and I wondered what the top 5 things to do we're on site, outside the music of course.

1. Meet PP and get her to buy you a drink

2. Cup of tea and large slice of home made victoria sponge circa midnight at tea bus

3. First thirst quenching fresh frothing pint on Friday afternoon after putting up tent (hot sunny weather esssential)

4. Grilled parrot patties

5. Pelting Joanna Newsome with toms (option not necessarily available each year)

Hot Spicy Cider.

And then I don't remember much else...

With this being my 4th EOTR I just realised I've never actually been to the forest disco dancefloor - mainly due to sitting in the Tipi hoping for one of my favourite bands to appear. Definitely something to try out this time round

Wandering the woods and checking out the art installations and so on

Games - ping pong, that weird Swedish thing with the blocks, croquet

Getting to sleep in a camping site where no-one has set fire to your tent, crashed into it, pissed on it, or is shouting 'Alan' (or whatever the wacky kids shout these days).

croquet: there is something pretty amazing about drunken croquet, you become one with the planet. (Hyperbole alert)

forest disco: not as good as the old days when you could select what you wanted off the ipod, but still awesome

night-time in the forest: the ambiance is amazing, especially if its your first time

comedy: it seems to move every year, but it is a great way to kick the hangover

wandering around: due to the relatively small area of the gardens part of the site and all of the small hedgerowed areas, this is one of the 'fullest' festivals I have been to, and it feels really vibrant as a result. I though No Direction Home suffered from being a bit more exposed and open, didn't feel quite so special. There is heaps to see and do around the lawns and woods

Some cool tips there, thanks guys. Looking forward to trying some of the ales, and even though I'm not a fan maybe some hot cider as it's legendary!

I'm looking forward to being on the tie as well as the music.
