SuperDaisy
Over the Moon Festival 14th - 16th Sep is powered by wind, sun, vegetable oil, people and love! It takes place in Hailsham, Sussex and is very easily accessible by public transport. The musical line-up consists of hand-picked names from the Brighton music scene and far beyond (including Eat Static, Dub Pistols, Los Albertos and Celt Islam); but this festival is about more than just music. You'll find talks, theatre, stuff for the kids; and workshops including shamanic practice, yoga, blacksmithery, bushcraft, flintknapping and more! I'll post details of a couple of Facebook/Twitter competitions we've got going on over the next few days, in the meantime you can find us on @overthemoonfest and http://www.overthemoonfestival.com. acidstorm523
Just wanted to say something...we really enjoyed OTM this year, apart from one thing. I think it's a real cheek to charge for trampolines and swings for the kids..they are right in the centre, so of course they want to do it. charging for these on top of the ticket price is a joke. so many festivals are becoming like very expensive market places, full of stalls - i tried Nova as well this year, and i just feel like i am being charged for something every time i turn around! when you look at the comparable prices of something like Glastonbury, and how much they provide to do, it does make me wonder. considering a trampoline costs about £80 on amazon, these are things i feel you should be providing in the ticketprice... otherwise the music and atmosphere was great! Stuparod
Over the Moon was GREAT! It didn't RAIN!! Thank farquon for that. A sweet little festival with quirky little things (like the Mad Hatters Tea party in the nearby wood). and I could dance to Eat Static on flat, dry ground. It was worth driving 200 miles for!! NB I know it hurts, ACIDPOD23, but the swingboats, trampoline and other kids stuff came over from SW Wales, with Helen the Hatt. She's a trader, with a large fuel bill, lots of kit to build and maintain - and a crew to feed (keeping kids safe). An extra £10 on the ticket price might cover it - but it might put me off coming, not having kids myself.
