Doesn't seem to have done Coachella any harm over the years does it? I get the general point, people have no money and here they have an option to watch it over something they already pay for...It's going be crunch time for a lot of people next year sadly and if the entertainment is online, why bother?

That said if I end up not going. YAY i can watch everything :D

There's no forecast of the weather being any better next year.

And similarly, there's no forecast of it being the same again either.

While it might be the result of climate change, it might not either. We've just had two dreadful summers, but it's worth noting that the 2nd wettest in history was exactly 100 years ago.

Extreme weather events happen. You even get many instances of extreme years being back-to-back.

On the basis of the 2nd wettest being 100 years ago and from that it being impossible to say that the last two summers are because the climate has now changed permanently, the laws of averages get to say that there's a very good chance that next summer will have significantly better weather than there's been for the last two summers.

And just anecdotally .... while there's been a lot of rain this summer, it's actually been a much better summer than last summer for festivaling I reckon. Last summer I did eight festivals and didn't have one nice sunny one; this year I've been slack and done just five, but two of them have been in glorious sunshine with no sign of any mud, and a third was mildly showery, mud-less, and in general very pleasant. So it's not all bad. :)
