Yeah New Order are looking fucking ace there!!! Didn't work so well at the blur gig but with the lights and that, seem to have got the right atmosphere for them!

Bet those going mad in the middle at the front are 40 year old geezers recapturing their youth though

They seem really really really good, and the crowd seem shit. It's kind of put me off Bestival slightly (I've never been, was considering for next year).

I wouldn't let the tv footage put you off. We were saying it was the best overall crowd at a major festival we've ever been to (having been to many around europe) and in many ways actually prefer it to glasto. It's all personal taste though.

I wouldn't say it's a great main stage i'd ever been to though which didn't help - the noise from the other stages was pretty difficult to avoid.

Going from comments above, has New Order's been captured at good quality? That was FUCKING AMAZING.

Also, was it just mainstage, or across all of them?

Mate they were amazing on the stream, excellent quality although Bernard's voice was a bit quite sometimes, although it wasn't really an issue.

There were some 'technical issues' that meant the stream didn't start until Isolation which was a bit lame.

But yeah it was so good i watched it twice, one live and the other they had as highlights when Sigur Ros should have played. First gig i have properly got into from the TV.

It was on the Big Top aswell, although they missed out on bands such as Soulwax, 2mnaydjs and Justice who i was really looking forward to.

The stream did it's job for me, i am now determined i will go next year.

Personally I thought the crowd for New Order was a bit quiet but when I realised it was made up of a lot of the younger generation around the outer perimeter I got the feeling they were just absorbing how good it was & that they were watching a headliner weekend they'd probably not otherwise bother or appreciate anywhere else (R+L). As was I as I only knew the singles & Joy Division.

Got to admit I wasn't going barmy for the headliners (bit of a dance to Stevie though) as our group still had another 3 hours of partying & DJs to see. The crowd for Friendly Fires was lively right to the back of the tent.
