Sziget 2013

As long as Sziget doesn't confirm anything about headliners, everything is possible.

It's only the beginning of April and for Sziget that would be very, very, very early to have all headliners confirmed. Last year The Killers was announced end of April and Snoop Dogg was announced in June. The year before The Prodigy was announced in June and Prince in July. That makes me think we can still expect some headliners.

On the other hand, I also don't rule out Biffy and/or Mika being headliner(s). When Korn was announced last year, it also wasn't clear they would be one of the headliners.

Maybe it means Biffy and/or Mika are possible headliners in case Sziget doesn't succeed to get other headliners? And maybe this was the case for Korn too?

Is Mika popular in Hungary? I certainly wouldn't have thought him big enough to headline! Editors and/or Dizzee Rascal, maybe ......

In 2010 Mika was co-headliner on the day 30 Seconds To Mars was headlining. I think there's only little chance he will be one of the headliners now, since I haven't heard much from him since then. But neither have I heard any new songs from SOAD in recent years and still almost everyone would like them to be headlining.

Hi guys I'm doing some travelling this summer and thinking about doing a day at Sziget to see Blur.

It says on their website that they're playing the Friday:

http://www.blur.co.uk/info/live-dates/page/3/

Do you think that might change given it hasn't been officially announced and they're also free Thursday/Saturday?

Is there a chance the Blur day tickets might sell out?

Cheers

Blur playing the Friday has been confirmed by Sziget on Facebook as well: https://www.facebook.com/SzigetUK/posts/352512901520333

I've heard sometimes some days sell out, but can't remember that has happened in the years I've been to Sziget. But I didn't go to check at the gates (there are too many better things to do at Sziget!), so maybe I just didn't notice.

quite right @Cristall

Shame that NIN will not be appearing at Sziget. This fact alone seals my non-attendance to the fest. Nevertheless I hope the upcoming announcements are better than what we have by now.

finally back after 4months in south east asia, so hello again people :)

as mentioned the arena lineup looks amazing this year, Chase and Status are a main stage act any day of the week so putting them doing a live performance in a tent is going to be intensely crazy! can not fuckin wait!

main stage is looking ok needs some exciting headliners though to convince me to go as theres not enough for me to part with my cash just yet as ive seen nearlly all of the bands/djs before, although i only bought my ticket last year on korn n placebo alone lol need some headliners!

They've announced the days for the bands already announced

Wednesday isn't particularly inspiring. Bits and bobs acts for me like Everything Everything, Chase & Status, Chris Liebing and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. Needs a good headliner to finish it off

Thursday is similar. Biffy Clyro and Nero I'd watch but a lot more to come hopefully

Friday looks pretty solid. Blur, Booka Shade and Woodkid, who I would expect not to clash

The Saturday looks terrible at the moment and needs a massive shake up or I'll end up just spending the night in Budapest

Empire of the Sun, Erol Alkan and Boys Noize all on the last day in the Arena, which is great as long as they don't clash with Tame Impala. They've missed Guetta off the list but I'm assuming he's that day too (and I'll miss him to see one of the above). It's a pretty damn awesome last night

Last year the Main Stage and A38 were virtually back to back - but the A38 had a strange sort of walkway system that you had to go through to get in (kind of like you get at airports), making it quite a slow process to actually get in, especially if a popular act was on .....

I gotta say that I'm amazed that there have been no more headline announcements in the last couple of weeks. 3 months to go, and the line up is still looking pretty thin from our point of view. Def needs some strong bands to fill it out a bit. Short of some strong surprise announcements, I doubt we will be able to justify travelling a that way this year ..... :(

Im thinking of going to sziget next summer, could anyone tell me roughly how much it would cost for the week there. Flying from Scotland... Did Benicassim last summer and going again this year. For the week that turned out at about £500-600 all in. Wondering if sziget is in a similar price range?

Anyone whos possibly been to both?
