Bestival 2013

This idea seems to be based entirely on the fairly late announcement the time he played Hop Farm. I'm not convinced it's true of all his festival appearances.

I've heard it as industry gossip, and while I can't be sure that everything I heard was true, everything about it and around it appears to confirm it as true.

I can't be sure, but there appears to be some shady characters around Prince, so it's possible that longer-the-6-weeks confirmed dates that have appeared over the years have been made via someone else, who then has to talk Prince into it with 6 weeks to go.

I would have thought the final headliner will be one of the following:

Pulp

Pixies

Jason Statham

Arcade Fire

Nick Cave

I can't remember RDB ever playing, or showing any interest, in Nick Cave and I'm not sure the Pixies or Arcade Fire are doing the rounds this year. My money's on Jason Statham, purely as they've played before (but not headlined), the other 2 headliners aren't dance acts and it's a (sorta) sop to the yoot, compared to Elton and Snoop.

It all seems a big quite on here, anyway here's a few (realistic) names I'd like to see in the next announcement...

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (Last Headliner), My Bloody Valentine, Editors, James, Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar, ASAP Rocky, When Saints Go Machine, Kelis, Nas, Tyler the Creator, Tame Impala, Bloody Beetroots, Postal Service.

"Unfortunately, there is much less information when it comes to Daft Punk's touring plans. Six years since the group last played the UK, there are still no gigs on their calendar. The only good news has come in the form of a partial retraction: a couple of weeks after declaring that Daft Punk were "definitely not touring" in 2013, Bestival boss Rob da Bank tried to roll those comments back. "I was under the influence of Xmas shopping when [i said that] so ... I'd take it with a large pinch of salt," he said. "I don't even think Daft Punk know whether they're touring [this] year!"
