I can't see me ever going for a Wii U no matter how cheap they go.

Nintendo need to release a Pokemon game that works like Skylanders, They would clean up.

I know they are kinda doing that with a Pokemon Rumble game but seriously a game more like Skylanders, with swapping characters by figures, its like printing money Nintendo!

Finally completed Knack. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought that the criticism it's received has been very harsh. The gameplay and the mechanics undeniably need some improvement but I thought the story and the world it was set in were very enjoyable.

Hopefully they're working on a sequel, it's a very promising IP.

Just spotted Splinter Cell HD trilogy for 5.39 in ps plus and Double agent at the same price. Think it is time to replay the series.

I woke up this morning thinking Halo 4 was pretty good, much better than I thought it was previously.

Today, it has been fucking amazing.

Anyone want to do the campaign on Co-op? Or up for Special Ops?

Nah, I will get Lego Marvel over Lego City as it doesn't really intrest me.

I have enough to play for the time being but there's another 4/5 games already out I may get (Zelda's top of the list but the other games were cheaper) and over the next few months there's new Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart and Smash Bros too.

I've just decided to get a Wii U, there's a very good chance it'll end up like the Gamecube or Dreamcast but fuck it those consoles had some amazing games.

For £260 I'm getting the console with Super Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros U, Pikmin 3, ZombiU and Wondeful 101.

I loved my dreamcast despite nearly every other person I knew having a PS2. Even Chu Chu rocket was ace at the time but the main thing for me was Dreamarena was the first time we had internet at home! What an amazing console that was really for the time!

ive still got some dreamcast peripherals in the loft, the fishing rod from bass fishing and a few controllers etc, i think Ive still got the box for the fishing rod.

I loved the DC, especially samba mi amigo!

Finished Sleeping Dogs last night which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also managed to get all the health shrines, statues, lock boxes, clothes and cars.

I think it definitely benefited from being a lot more compact than GTA, which I always got bored of because there was just too much going on.

On to Dark Souls now...

I was hoping Jet Set Radio Future will be added too but it's yet to pop up which is annoying as I've never had a chance to play it despite how much I loved the 1st one.

I have much love for my Dreamcast. Had one AND a PS/2 and gave my PS/2 away to a friend for free.

It's often called a failed console, well yes for Sega, but for gamers it gave us the Xbox.

Dark Souls is brutal. I must have spent about 2 hours trying to get through Undead Burg last night, that Black Knight was an absolute pain in the arse. I managed to kill him by climbing on top of a building and showering him with firebombs in the end. Then it turns out there's another one of the bastards a bit later on up a tower. Looks like I can just avoid him for now though.

I am now in Undead Parish, could do with finding another bonfire though.

Almost everyone I know who has played both consoles has said the PS4 is the better of the 2 as a 'gaming console', and that's what I want.. a gaming console!

So I finally found a cheap full-box copy on ebay and bought it. It arrived yesterday, and I've had a lot of great fun with it. Really intrigued by the new tag system and 2-front battle. Very clever.

They're identical gaming consoles, get one and you won't notice the difference. The SONY will have more exclusives, though MS will have a few.

More than anything though... get the one you prefer the controller of.

The difference in feel and function of the controller is the greatest gaming difference you'll detect.

I was playing my mates PS4 at the weekend and I'm impressed! I was already pretty sold on getting a PS4 but I'm sure now. Hoping I can save enough by March!! Really liked what I played of Killzone.

I was PS4 all the way since the reveal and the massive clusterfuck MS did of the one launch. However, when the chips are down, there arent any sony exclusives that interest me at all, the main games (that are on my radar) for me are gonna be BF4 (exclusive map pack on xboxone) titanfall (xbox exclusive) halo (xbox exclusive) and The Division (multiplatform).

Also, I have never really got on with Sonys' pads.

I actually love my xbox one now, and I'm glad I bought it.

The whole 720p/900p/1080p argument is a bit of a red herring really, the big difference over the last gen is the 60fps thing, I read that the new tomb raider reboot is only 30fps on the one, which is a little concerning. But I'm sure that once the systems are bedded in, and the devs start getting the most out of them, there shouldnt be a massive difference between the two tbh.

Yeah cos you can trust sales and people If you went by sales, there was a time you would have said the Wii is the best console. (I'm not knocking the Wii, i have one, its fun and all but its just not in the same league as 360/PS3 for the big "proper" games.)

I'd agree with that certainty the biggest influence for me, I've never really liked the Playstation controllers . It's how your interacting with the console 99% of the time for gaming despite Kinect and such so if you don't like the shape, it's going to effect you a lot more than having less detail to an explosion. People laughed when the first Xbox controller got released about it being big and clunky but I actually preferred that shape and now have I have the USB wireless adapter for it. (Mainly I got for it GTA when they had them all on steam for dirt cheap.)

One of the things I like about the Wii U (I know no one cares) is that the games have so many options with controllers. It has the Gamepad which I love because you can play it off tv, the pro controller, and the Wii controllers.

I'm not comparing the Wii though, it's different because it's aimed at a much wider audience and not so much the 'serious gamer'

Fuck it I'm just going to wait until some more games come out. Choosing between a PS4 and Xbox One must be like choosing your favourite child surely?

I always preffered my xbox360 over the ps3 so i was always going to get an xboxone until microsoft messed up their launch with all the backtracking, i also really didn't want to be forced to buy a kinnect as the one on my 360 just gathered dust. So i went for the ps4 and love it, the controller is a huge improvement over the ps3's.
