I'm completely in the dark about Destiny, I haven't been following it at all. Can someone enlighten me? Is it just another online shooter?

I'm the same windy, not really sure exactly what it is. And unfortunately - reviews that come out today arent really gonna be worth bothering with as the servers only went live yesterday. I have absolute 100% faith in bungie, but I really dont know what I would be buying into.

On a +ve note, I think most of the major supermarkets are doing it for £40 on all formats.

fifa 15 demo incoming folks, for those interested. I downloading now for xboxone, PS4 comes out tomorrow. I think 360 and ps3 are out today too.

Apart from the fact that there aren't any halo games on the xbox one yet, why not try their new game? I'm not having a go, just don't understand the cynicism? Halo is/was great, and I will be buying the collection on day one and playing it from start to finish when it comes out. Have you played Halo and didnt like it, or do you just not fancy it?

Apparently my local Tesco has no copies of destiny on PS4 according to my brother which is a bit annoying. Didn't think it'd be this popular. Didn't pre-order and was hoping to pick it up on the way home from work

Woop woop! Still undecided on getting an xbox one, i want a white one with Kinect and FIFA (Cauise I will get Kinect eventully anyway ).

Sigh might just get it for PC as the engine is meant to be updated this year for PC I think!

Totally agree on the watchdogs comment, I never bought the hype- nor the game. But I've got to say, I played about 90 mins of destiny today, and I had the biggest grin on my face for most of it. I'm not saying it's an awesome 11/10 game at this stage, but it just felt so incredibly well made, it's got a strange feel to it with the hub and the customisation options, but the very first boss fight had me grinning like a kid on Xmas eve. I hope it continues to feel so good because if it does- it's a game changer.

Whilst checking for FIFA demo on PS4, I saw the NHL 15 demo was up, so give it a shot, nothing pretty much nothing about Hockey and haven't played one since Mega Drive days with NHL and Mutant League Hockey games. And DAMN really enjoyed it! I think I'll be picking it up!

Still undecided on Destiny. So I may pass. I did like the beta but wasn't blown away. I've said before FPS aren't my fave type of game anyway.

I was typing on my ipad last night so wasnt very keen on going into depth on Destiny, so here goes.

It looks incredible on the xboxone, and I'm sure it will on all formats. The soundtrack/score is pure Bungie/Halo magic, it really cant be overstated what the music adds to the atmoshpere of the game, yet its totally inconspicuous most of the time.

The movement, weapon handling and feel is spot on, again - very Halo, but theres nothing wrong with that.

The AI is once again, very Halo (you MUST play on "Hard") enemies take cover, flank, and coordinate attacks, and the heavily armoured ones are usually supported by a small horde of less powerful, but equally sneaky and vicious sidekicks.

The maps are huge, and once you start levelling up, you can move about a little more quickly. There are areas that are cloaked in "the darkness" which basically means a death means you have to start that battle from scratch.

The character hub where you upgrade, join fireteams, get missions etc is a little bit daunting at first, and I still havent fully got to grips with its layout and exactly what everything does yet.

As I said last night, I'm not saying its an 11/10 game at this stage, but the opening couple of hours has been huge fun, and very impressive and I hope it is only going to get better as I level up and progress.

Did I mention you MUST play it on Hard difficulty? Thats where you really see the best of the AI.

Was pretty busy last night so I've hardly a chance to touch Destiny, but what I did play I loved. But I was already sold due to the beta. I can't wait to get home tonight and spend a good few hours with it!

Yeah Destiny is class, it sort of feels like a Halo/Cod/Mass Effect/ Star Wars/ WoW game all thrown into one.

I'm glad they're going to support this game for a long time (10 years I think they said) instead of going down the CoD route. I imagine there's going to be an absoloute ton of DLC for this too. Only thing that I don't like is that there is a level cap at 20. Hopefully they'll increase that as DLCs come out though..

There is a dedicated MP area apparently called the crucible, I havent been there yet. You do see other players around, but I dont think they impact on what you are doing AFAIK. I was doing a mission yesterday and a fireteam of others came through my area blasting things to buggery, but from what I could work out - it didnt affect what I had to do, although I did pinch one of their vehicles. In order to interact with another player you have to look at them and press your right stick down to interact. Haven't done that yet either!

Having played another couple of hours yesterday, my enthusiasm has cooled a little. Everything that was great about it in the beginning is still great, but theres no real indication as to exactly what I am/should be doing. I'm just doing the same thing again and again at the moment. I'm still enjoying it, and the moon is amazing to look at, there just isn't a plot so far.

Downloaded the FIFA 15 demo on PC today! My the Ignite is rather good! Graphics are absolutely stunning to, reminds me of the jump we had between the old generation 360/PS3 in FIFA actually!

Goalkeepers actually do seem a bit better and not marketing bluff ...What I really like is the ability to switch to the receiver for set pieces! So much more useful!

Though its posed me a dilemma, I've always seen FIFA as something to play on console, you know mates etc. will have it for online play ...but it plays really well on my PC and looks stunning and there isn't much else I really want on Xbox One yet (Plus I really want a white one with kinect bundled )

Spent a good few hours on Destiny yesterday, finished the story on earth, and did my first "strike" with 2 randoms, and played an MP game in the crucible. Levelling up improves the way you feel about the game greatly. I'm level 8 now, and feel a lot more powerful than I did in the early stages (obviously).

The MP doesnt open until you reach level 5, you get an invite from the tower and have to accept it, you then go to a lobby like a normal MP game, matchmaking was fairly reliable, the other players were mostly better than me, but I didnt come last! It is obviously an aspect of the game that needs a lot more practice to appreciate, I may return.

The strike was fantastic, you select the mission from the menu, and the game finds randoms for you to team up with to play it, the 2 I got were similar in skill to me, we all co-op 'd it pretty well, obviously if all 3 of you die, it ends - so you need to revive the others if they go down, or stay alive for the 30 seconds till they can respawn themselves.

So - Day 3 on destiny was much more fun than day 2, and more satisfying than day 1.

I cant wait to play it later.

Theme Hospital is free on PSN at the moment, PS1 classic. Won't work on PS4 but will PS3.

Despite the poor feeling around it and my general awfulness at FPS', I'm really enjoying Destiny. I'm only a level 7 Titan but I'm having a lot of fun with it. I'm even enjoying multiplayer which I generally detest in FPS'. Can't see me trading this one in in a hurry!

Also really enjoying this year's iteration of Madden. Defence is suddenly fun, and despite it essentially being a mini-game if you're controlling someone at the line of scrimmage, it doesn't feel gimmicky. Still some age old problems with the opposition QB being nigh on perfect every game, and the opposition secondary being far too good at reading routes but I'm playing around with the sliders and am nearing something that feels reflective of real life.
