Ok so am home from my summer travels working, got Destiny and put it on for the first time last night..

I played the first level, fair enough then ended up at some tower place. Is it just me or does it seem dead complicated about all the things to collect, exchange, barter, bounty hunt etc?

Does it get better?

What doesn't help is that all that stuff isn't explained properly. For me the game is very enjoyable when attempting different challenges with my two mates on party chat. I still maintain that there needs to be more mission variety though.

Despite me saying I wouldn't be trading in Destiny, I've got it all ready to send off in the post. I'm not one to grind through a game and after the initial enjoyment of the world and the mechanics, there just isn't anything to keep me interested.

Getting £30 credit for it so will either put it towards Shadow of Mordor, or keep it back for Far Cry or Assassin's Creed in November.

New Crucible mode coming tomorrow, Iron Banner, where your gear and upgrades count. I'm currently level 22 with only a handfull of legendary gear so it should be interesting.

I have eulogised about Spelunky on these boards before, but it really is one of my favourite games of all time. Don't dismiss it as a generic platform game (which is easy to do if you only play it a couple of times). It is actually a very complex game, masquerading as a simple platformer.

So, Evolution have fucked up Drive Club's release again.

Sony needs to give them a huge kick up the arse.

Game was released in US yesterday and they've taken it offline due to the servers not being able to cope with demand, it gets released in Europe today and they can't even handle the US audience let alone Europe, how much of a fuck up is this, its one of the biggest releases for Sony all year.

Now they've said the Plus version of Drive Club isn't going to be released because they don't want even more people going to flooding the servers and anyone who buys the full game in Europe will only be able to play offline for the foreseeable future and the Plus version will be released in the future.

A game delayed a whole year and they still fucked up on release.

And this is Evolution who has fucked this up, I bet the big heads at Sony are fuming and I bet Evolution might get dropped from big projects or some people fired.

Launching-to-scale is a difficult thing. I mean a really, really difficult thing.

And how times times have Evolution launched to scale before? Never!!

If the likes of Blizzard, with experience of MP and scale, can struggle with the launch of D3, then anyone can struggle with anything related to it. SimCity launched with problems. UbiSoft have launched to problems. Those slick COD multiplayers took a LOT of evolutionary work. Early days problems online with GTA despite vast sums of development money.

Love Assassin's Creed, love the combat of Batman (although not the story and setting) and I love LotR so I've got high hopes!

Spent the weekend playing Battlefield 2 (free on xbox gold). Had some fun, but ultimately got bored. It just reinforced my dislike of online shooters.

Has anyone played Pix The Cat? Free on PS plus this month. Its a strange cross between Pacman and Snake, and very addictive! I'm trying desperately to get 1,000,000 points on the starter board. Need some people on here to play it so I have some ghost runs to compete against!
