t8yman
Doesn't work in firefox though. I was watching the Uncharted video thinking, "this doesn't look anything special". Then I tried it in IE, and it looked so much better. it is chrome only afaik, so your eyes must have been playing tricks on you
windy_miller
it is chrome only afaik, so your eyes must have been playing tricks on you Nope, definitely works in IE as well. There are "720p60" and "1080p60" options that appear in IE, that do not appear in Firefox. Edited October 30, 2014 by windy_miller

t8yman
I reckon it might be pretty good this time round, first one with a 2 year dev cycle iirc? Might give it a go, but master chief is the biggest grin on my horizon, followed by Far Cry 4.

Preordered, Tesco selling it £42 but theres a £5 off code knocking around and then I used some clubcard vouchers to knock it down further. viberunner
Just ordered Call of Duty for PS4, aint played one since World at War, so hoping I enjoy it. World at War was the last COD with a single player campaign worth firing up; and it's probably Treyarch's best attempt at multiplayer. Easily their best title. Modern Warfare 2 was the very final COD multiplayer worth a damn, though the campaign is shite. Some of the survival and co-op missions from the later titles were worth playing, but the quality of the campaigns and multiplayers have fallen off a cliff face. WS_Jack_III
Finished Max Payne 3 today, the game is hard as hell and made me want to rage quit a few times. I enjoyed it though, part 3 of the game is good and James Mccaffrey's narrations/voice acting is as awesome as it always was, some fantastic lines in the game. Spindles
Really looking forward to the Binding of Isaac: rebirth, released tomorrow, one of the very few games I've ever pre-ordered. The idea of it being bigger, better and joypad enabled made it an easy purchase for me (as well as supporting developers whose work I enjoy). I disagree, black ops multiplayer was great IMHO, and was very very popular. Havent even bothered playing a campaign since blops either tbh. I remain open minded to the new one, it looks good, and they have been saying all of the right things about it so far. I will see later today how it plays. Also, isn't it free with PS plus this month anyway?
Spindles
Ah, I'm on PC, got it on steam (1/3 off for owners of the original). Release is tomorrow evening.

I will see later today how it plays. I believe Sledgehammer have had almost 3 years, as this is the first game they've done since MW3 (which was gash). Black Ops multiplayer was the only one I loved as much as COD4's, since COD4. It was superb. But yeah, went and got Advanced Warfare last night and had about a 2 hour session when I got back. It's very good, they've brought back the "Pick 10" create a class system from Black Ops 2 (apart from its "Pick 13") this time around and it still is my favourite create a class system, especially after the horrid thing Ghosts put out last year. Eurgh. Maps seem good and well suited to the verticality of the exo-suits, which are great for for razzing it round the maps with. Decent K/D ratios for my first set of games too which is always nice. Not many complaints so far at all, will have another go later on! EDIT: I'm also getting old, I'm really looking forward to starting the Campaign haha Edited November 3, 2014 by TheJackson
t8yman
I played the first mission or so while i was waiting for the install to complete, it felt pretty good, the exo feels properly weighted, some of the gadgets are fun to mess around with, especially the different grenades. I started on "hardened" which is pretty much my go-to difficulty, then if I really enjoy it, I replay on veteran. Just waiting for the install to finish before I can jump into MP. TheJackson
Ah really, I always jump straight in on Veteran to play through and grab the extra trophies, then go through again on Private/Rookie/Easy whatever it is and mop up collectibles etc. I agree about the Exo, I was worried it was going to really, really piss me off in MP but it's great, actually gives you more of a chance against unskilled players getting a lucky shot on you. the_hedge
Connection was off a bit on Multiplayer but had some fun. Try and maintain around a 2kd in COD but it's gonna be hard in this game due to it's fast paced nature which is not a bad thing. Think I finished yesterday just scraping a 1kd but apart from the connection had some fun with it. If they sort the shoot first die first connection issues it could be one of the best. If it has BLOPS2 connection it's screwed... Edited November 4, 2014 by the_hedge
windy_miller
At the risk of sounding quite geeky... has anyone played Hearthstone? Its an online collectable card game, a bit like Magic The Gathering. Thought I'd give it a bash last night seeing as it is free and I'd heard lots of good things about it. It's ridiculously addictive, and the rules are pretty simple to learn. I'm a sucker for good board/card games so this is right up my street. Uncle Liam
For San Andreas players. I've actually, for the first time ever, for through the first two of Zero's missions at the electronics shop. Rockstar must have realised how hard these fuckers were and eased them up considerably. There is one, which seems to take the form of a giant board game where you have to defeat Berkeley. Anyone even got the slightest idea what to do?
