I鈥檓 attending Rock Werchter for the first time this year and I have a few doubts, if someone can help me:
- How is the camping situation on The Hive, chaotic or is it easy to find a good spot? Does it form a line before it opens?
- Transport to the site - I鈥檓 flying in from Portugal and so far it seems that my options are:
1. Flying to Brussels and catching the train to Leuven and the free festival shuttle to the site;
2. 鈦燜lying to Amsterdam or Eindhoven and catching a Maximal Trips bus to the site.
Are there any other options? I鈥檓 specially interested in direct buses like this Maximal Trips one. Has anyone ever bought this trip? Looking for suggestions and feedback.
If you have any other recommendations for a first time goer, they鈥檙e more than welcome! Thank you!
Theyre not going to the fest. They just want to talk sh*t.
It did sell well but apparently not well enough for some. Still one of the great live performers right now. She floats in between pop and indie and has enough big songs that people know so its not a bad idea to get her on board again at some point. If Emily wants a 3 female headliner poster I think Florence would need to be on it so its not taken a certain way.
Last saw them in 1993, supporting Def Leppard at Sheffield Arena. If my memory serves me well they played in the Yorkshireman in town the night before. I recall a motorbike coming through the pub and a secret gig in the garden. Sass ran the pub back then, he knew so many bands. He went on to run The Classic Rock Bar (formally called The Jolly Buffer) on Ecclesall Road. Following the sad demise of The Wapentake where I worked as a teen many many years ago - The Classic Rock Bar became a fantastic rock venue. Sadly this is also no longer there, demolished in 2006, along with so many groups of friends who had nowhere to meet up. Miss those crazy times!
