This is a wonderful song by the late Dory Previn.

A superb singer/songwriter who wrote some of the best songs I know about emotions and relationships.

This one is about hesitancy on a date and ends with the great line "Talk to me please in bed where it matters."

She was Mrs Andre Previn at one time till he ended up having an affair and a child with the actress Mia Farrow. The break up prompted some of Dory's finest songs including some great vitreol in Lemon Haired Ladies about men who go off the rails with pretty young girls.
