grumpyhack
Love Joe Cocker. Again lucky enough to have seen him a few times. I don't know about where we belong but, as Bob says, She Belongs to Me. It's a shakey start but then the vid settles down. media] Edited April 22, 2014 by grumpyhack
whisty
My Son of Dave, stumbled on him Glastonbury 2007. Playing 3 times this year, will be at at least one of those shows And for those old enough to remember Double Barrel here's a refreshed blues based version. grumpyhack
I was going to go for the obvious - My Way. But which version - the Paul Anka original, Ole Blue Eyes, Sid Vicious, Shirley Bassey or pretty well everyone else? Then I stumbled across this unlikely pairing. A couple of giants - Barry White and Pavarotti. So the link word is Everything http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHCcM_uV-r8

grumpyhack
From one rocking guitarist to another. Rearrange through and you sort of get to George Thorogood. I'll let you choose the follow on word from Scotch, Bourbon or Beer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6bk_qJw5XY I'm off on holiday to Portugal for a week tomorrow so I'll have to let the rest of you guys keep associating words. whisty
Road, got to give Grumpy some reading to do when he gets back. Not from Nashville at all, UK band, one of those tracks stuck in the memory for ever. "In the 1970s, songwriters Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman claimed to have been inspired by "Tobacco Road" while writing Sweet's "Blockbuster", after accusations of stealing the guitar riff from David Bowie's "Jean Genie". carlosj
Road to STREETS. Not really knew about the lad till this track, and enjoyed his farewell set at the festival in 2011. Thunder Road by Springsteen sprang to mind with the link. Mrs CJ kept a mix tape from a boyfriend with it on and always harrumphs at the bit where he sings "you ain't no beauty, but you'll do alright"(?) ! carlosj
This man doesn't have ONE. My stag night last year was an Eastwoodathon. The boys (age 4 to 75) stayed in for 3 Clint movies, while the girls went out for the evening. My cousin's son loved the dubbing in this movie, especially the over the top laughter. ONE is the link. carlosj
Saw the word, thought of that track, then saw the post. Good choice. I'll go from shack to PLANE, via the B 52s, late night disco memories from my uni days. Come to think of it, 1 room country shack pretty much describes my digs. carlosj
Maybe Shpongolese was spoken at the Tower of Babel, which is in the book of GENESIS. I don't have any Genesis, and wasn't too much into Prog Rock (I preferred BBC4's The Life of Rock with Brian Pern), so here's my take on Genesis, via Phil's solo career.
