Speedy reply to give GH plenty to catch up on.

Worlds exist in the UNIVERSE. One of my favourite John Lennon songs.

The Beatle - Across The Universe - Studio Quality:

If it's any consolation, I had a mind block, and was originally looking for Leonard Cohen's Tower of Babel, instead of Song... duh.

Kipling wrote a poem called The Female of the Species. Leaving aside his non-political correctness of that era and his jingoism, I'm linking this to CAKE, and here's one that's been left out in the rain.

Slice features in my annual game of golf. Iggy Pop is a golfer. Apparently, there is Monday after Masters where the musos play.

GOLF is the link word.

Looking forward to the Wailers this time.

The Driver is a great movie, starring Ryan O'Neil and Bruce Dern. This song features in the movie, albeit not by these.

Link word CHIFFON.

The Chiffons - One fine day ( 1963 ):

Tenuous veering "they'd probably put my head in a GUILLOTINE" in the lyrics below, as an alternative to linking to another body part.

Morning all. Back from a magnificent week in Lisbon where one of my Glasto gang and I amused ourselves on our long walks around the city by playing this game.

I've enjoyed playing through some excellent contributions.

Like Steppenwolf we did some heading down the Highway.

I first saw Steppenwolf perform this in 69 and the Hells Angels were in seventh heaven as 'their song' was performed.

This is a later version but still not bad.

In the early days of British Blues the label was Blue Horizon. This is the wonderful Liverpool Scene (sorry no video) with their send up of bands on the Blue Horizon label. A great band including Adrian Henri, one of the Liverpool Poets and the magnificent Andy Roberts on guitar.

John Mayall Walking on Sunset.

The man's not called the Father of British Blues for nothing. Few musicians have fostered the careers of so many others. In this clip it's Mick Taylor. But it could have as easily been Peter Green, most of Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, Walter Trout, Buddy Whittington.......

So get Walking

Impressive catalogue of players from John Mayall.

Watching Bob Marley on tv, so should pick reggae, but I'll speed up to RUNNING instead.

Thanks for that CarlosJ. I love Roy Orbison - still one of the greatest voices of all time.

The Ray Davies Choral Kinks set has to be one of my standout moments of the last ten years or so at Glasto.

This man also pulled off a superb set and even had the confidence to do a Beatles cover.

So from Days to Life
