grumpyhack
Excellent Guy Davis clip Whisty. Shame we won't be getting blues like this at Glasto - unless you know otherwise. grumpyhack
By posting this please don't think I'm in any way making a homophobic link. In my mind I went from wimp to limp and was going for Limp Biscuit and then Soft Machine before remembering what a great song this is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTGiyQRG2EE So the link word is Cell On the ELO thing, I really enjoy ELO but last year I went to see Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds tour in Cardiff. There aren't many concerts I come out of thinking what a load of twaddle, but that was one of them, Edited May 25, 2014 by grumpyhack

whisty
Excellent Guy Davis clip Whisty. Shame we won't be getting blues like this at Glasto - unless you know otherwise. Only person giving me that Blues buzz at the minute is Son of Dave & he's clashing so choices will have to be made. John Fairhurst looks ok, will have to look at a couple more links tho. So I guess you can have a soft Shake of the hand, gives me the chance to post a SOD fun vid if a little sexist maybe, I don't know. And a live one. Lee Dorsey had a song Working in a Coalmine, everybody knows that song so here's a nice vid from the Sam & Dave show of a different tune. They have some good tunes. Soul/Funk based mostly. Edited May 29, 2014 by whisty

whisty
See any good bands on the undercard I wonder? Rain, wonder what kind of set BF will play. Not really into the 20s Jazz thing, still might be interesting.
grumpyhack
Got to post this. My discovery of Wychwood was Gabby Young and Other Animals. A breathtaking voice capable of rock, jazz and even opera. You may have got there before me but she was new to me. Couldn't find a Gabby Young video that linked with rain other than to say that most Animals don't like going out in the rain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRiIue_TRQ4
carlosj
Couldn't resist this one, taking the link to WING. Work's manic, but I've a new phone so can post again. whisty, I've had the maid turn down 2 beds in the CV's West wing, depending on whether you want the futon or waterbed. Re TFF, I think they were going to tour an album recently. 1 lives nearish Glastonbury, and 1 in the USA.
