Nice track Oneeye.

To get into the festive spirit some early Hollies.

The band that gave us a third of the harmonies of Crosby, Stills and Nash (or a quarter of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young). What's left of The Hollies are still touring too.

Do quite like Ramsey Lewis album Mother Nature's Son, Beatles covers.

For a festive link, let's turn water into Snow and stick with the Jazz theme. Think Nino Katamadze vocals really very good to my untrained ear any way wanted to showcase her for a while now. Would love to see her and band :)

Couple of quotes from the people who watched the vid "Oh my god-oh my god-oh my god! The bass solo in the end is WIN! Listen to that funky sound". "Are you kidding me!? This is so breathtaking...." I tend to agree :)

Have a good Xmas time folks of the word game.

Snowy WHITE and a song that was a favourite of a friend of mine who died earlier this year. Unfortunately he wasn't able to share the song with his wife as it was prompted by an affair that he had after meeting a woman while working in South America.

Both he and his wife remained friends of mine after they split and, ironically, his wife is now living the life of paradise having moved to Guadaloupe. We still meet up every year though when she comes over for Glasto.

And to end on a singalong note, here's Bing with what is said to be the best selling record of all time.

Have a good one everybody.

Thanks OneEye. Mr Fogarty's set remains one of my Glasto standouts. He wrote some great songs.

So now for some cheese (and another of Grumpy's Gonners). One of the most under-rated balladeers, up there with Sinatra in my book and Born FREE.

This one I particularly love. The former London bus driver with a great song about dealing with a break up.

Nikka Costa sings about Mr Nothing in this song. Think Nikka could have been a big star if handled better than the Pop music producer bloke she married ruining a great voice/image.

Accompanied by the Purple Man. Love the ending of this song, pssobly becasue it reminds me of the wailing woman on DSOTM. Hope you watch till the end of this one :)

Nothing Else MATTERS

A bit of Metallica for those who stayed and enjoyed and also for those who walked away after just a couple of numbers (like me).

My alternative was a superb Bryan Ferry set that I was so knocked out by that Mrs GH has bought us tickets to see him in Cardiff next year.

I'll follow from the witness option. This is a song I fell in love with after my first trip to France as a teenager. I've gone for the version with English subtitles to assist understanding. It was a colossal European hit for Francoise Hardy about witnessing or watching other young people walking the streets happily together but I can't imagine a song that expresses such pain and loneliness making the charts today.

And for a link word let's go for FRANCE.
