Uncle Liam
Pretty decent list! I think I'd like Jon Hopkins to win it. Well they haven't made the list now, but surely they're better than Rudimental and Jake Bugg?

JC-Mo'Fucka
out of interest do crystal fighters count as british? Favourite for me if so . . All worthy bar jake bugg, truely dreadful load of shit. Laura mvula bores me also but the girl has got talent and can see how people like her. Babyquack
Would have though Tom Odell deserved a nod in the shortlist - v.popular and his album did v.well in the charts and was recieved well by the critics! Shame tbh, at least he was recognised in some form at the Brits.

Babyquack
Tourette & Tom: I guess I just don't understand the Mercury Prize then. Obviously not all albums which are popular and go to number one deserve to be nominated but I did genuinely enjoy Odell's album and thought it had a lot of talent there but hey, I think this years list is strong so he was up against tough opposition! On another note, I hope Bowie doesn't get it. He doesn't need the hype the winner receives neither do I think his album was extraordinary, like some of the other acts on the list. I hope either Villagers or Savages get it but I expect Foals to win it tbh. Also, I don't think AM should be there. As someone has mentioned, I think Franz's album was so much better.
