Slam Dunk was quality last year, so this is a bit of a let down for a first announcement imo.

Yeah not a great annoucement imo, only ones im really intrested in are Four Years Strong and The Skints and i have seen both of them a few times before.

Recommend Polar Bear Club, missed them at Reading this year but a good band.

i wouldn't even call some of the stages stages, one is virtually a band stand and they will probably do an outside stage.

Sadly can't make this year, as we've got a baby now. Gutted now that spunge have been added - love them. Each announcement has been a bit so so, but overall, it's turning into quite a day.

1 has never played before and never played a UK fest even

The other has played before but not last yr.

I can't decide if it's worth going to or not, they've got a reformed King Prawn and a (semi)retiring Streetlight Manifesto which in thoery should be enough to make me go but I'm still a bit meh with it all.

So who do people recommend seeing with the stage splits out? Haven't been before do the stages overlap so you can see half and half of headliners/subs or are they all on same time?

Think its gunna have to be Senses Fail and Cancer Bats as my top two but would've like to catch some of Four Year Strong

Hi All - how was it? Was gutted to have missed it this year. Hoping to be there next year with the litl'un!

Went to the Midlands show yesterday, all in all, fantastic day.

Bands started at 1.45 but they didn't start letting people in until just after 1, at 1.35 when I decided to finally join the queue it was MASSIVE still, I was at the back of a queue of at least 1500 people, luckily they decided to start letting people in through the pass out entrance which was behind me, so we got in quickly but they didn't inform the rest of the queue so those people were in line a LONG time.

Set up in inside was good, and sound quality on all stages was very good except for the Tiger Stage, thought it was too quiet.

Pass out system worked well and was in a good location, everything about the setup in regards to stages and access to stages was brilliant, so no complaints there. Just they need to start letting people in earlier next year.

In terms of bands, every single act I saw were quality.

I saw Heart in Hand, Gnarwolves, Transit, The Story So Far, Mallory Knox, Fireworks, Sleeping With Sirens, Polar Bear Club, The Wonder Years, Streetlight Manifesto, Senses Fail, Four Year Strong and Cancer Bats.

During Cancer Bats, they shut the bar with no warning, at about 10.30, Cancer Bats finished at 10.55, All Time Low had finished at 10.30 in the room where the afterparty was. They kicked us out as soon as Cancer Bats finished which was the last stage open, as far as I could see around 10.30 when they shut the bar they wouldn't let you go from stage to stage if you left the stage you went outside. Which was bullshit.

Anyway we got kicked out, no-one mentioned anything about the aftershow party, I asked numerous staff, none of which knew what I was talking about, kept saying ask him instead until we got no answers, the aftershow party was meant to start at 11pm, they made us all stand outside in the drizzling rain until 11.45 when they let us back in, they also took my ticket off me upon re-entry said I couldn't come back in unless, so I no longer have my ticket and keep all my tickets, so was pissed off about that.

Upon getting back inside there were just 2 bars open instead of many more they could have had open, and the music, oh my god, it was awful, they played some pop punk, but it was all new stuff, no classics at all, then they decided to play some 'drum and bass' pendulum, knife party, pendulum, knife party in a row, im not kidding. All the time whilst some guy with a mic is shouting bullshit stuff to the crowd, not an MC, just some bloke, then they don't play any music for 3 minutes whilst he's saying to the crowd did you have a good time, did you like this, did you like this, like it was a kids party, then they play Gangnam style... then he talks to the crowd and says did you like it, everyone get into a big line and dance to it, then they play it again!!!

It was the biggest disappointment ever, I left as they were playing that fucking facebook song.

So yeah, great day, shocking after party. Hope its back next year to the midlands, but I won't be going after show thats for sure!

Another thing was slightly disappointed by merch, macbeth had a little tent selling stuff but was clearence stock and Vans had nothing. But band t-shirts were only £15 which is below the standard so that was good.
