Hmm that's very interesting Neil, but if rumours are true, would Download really go for 30 Seconds To Mars, Stone Sour, Deftones, HIM, all of which played on the same lineup in 2010, not to mention Gaslight Anthem and Alter Bridge both played in 2011. I think that would be a step too far for repeats.

I think that's too many big bands playing and some of them won't happen. Don't forget that the 2nd stage headliner will be clashing with Maiden's sub-headliner as well.

constant repeats hasn't stopped Download from repeat bookings before, so I don't know why it would stop them this time. There's too small a pool of bands for it not to happen.

That doesn't mean that I'm saying those names I've given are right. I've no idea if they are.

What I do think is that the guy who told them to me believes that they're right, and that he's supposedly well placed to get good info .... but there's still reasons why I think it might not be good info.

I would have thought Gaslight will follow Pearl Jam around where ever they end up playing and AIC and HIM have strong ties with Kili. So who knows.

The only bands I believe to be true are Stone Sour and Alter Bridge.

The difference is that it would have been unrealistic for Maiden to return so soon, but they are headlining some of the European legs of the tour still.

I know he didn't. I said "if rumours are true" - Stone Sour have self confirmed and Deftones heavily rumoured due to Knotfest, apparently Alter Bridge self confirmed as well.
