100% right. Could be anything indeed. Latest info is there were problems with planned dates early in the tour...

NME have lifted a claim in The Times saying they couldn't arrange the venues.

Unless this is like the Neil Young situation a few weeks ago where it could be a bargaining chip so they can get what they want. But then again, maybe not.

That piece said four nights at Spurs. Has it run into competition demand from Beyonce with her planned stop?

Can't imagine the Stones really selling out 4 nights at Spurs Stadium. They are my favourite band of all time and I'd probably go each night if I could - but their last tours here haven't sold superbly well.

They have sold well enough, but nothing on the scale of 4 staidums in one city.

Four nights at Spurs? They'd have got close. A theoretical 50,000-capacity venue for end stage concerts, and even then that can be reduced to still function as a "full house".

They shifted 130,000 at BST Hyde Park on the Sixty tour, plus another thirty-odd thousand at Anfield. Think you would get those who would travel too.

It's a lot of tickets, not least at the insane prices the Stones are known for charging, but I reckon enough people would've gone to at least 3 shows at Tottenham, maybe 4 at a push.

Interesting article here

Analysis in 2023 found that the average age of Glastonbury headliners rose from 26 to 49 in two decades, a figure that would be far higher had whippersnappers such as Adele and Stormzy not dragged it down.

All prominent members of the band and crew have to sign a disclaimer saying ‘There are no underlying health issues’. Anything that happened to them in the last five years, should it reoccur on the tour it negates the insurance,” says Fish. He tells me he’s got two replacement knees. “If anything happens, say for example I damage my leg on tour and damage my knee, then I have no insurance because I had a knee operation.”

Site is odd. Clearly a lot of ITK there, but the main guy took down the thread on the tour, then the cancellation of the tour as it veered (mildly) off topic and now there is like zero info on there about what is happening. Jesus Christ, if he was the mod on here there'd be no topics left. Talk out throwing toys out of the pram.
