zahidf
Atoms for Peace playing that festival the week before latitude makes them a bit more likely for this now IMO.

geofelgie
Jesus, please don't let them headline I'm not sure the world's most popular imaginary friend has much influence at Latitude HQ
Amy Lawn
I'm not sure the world's most popular imaginary friend has much influence at Latitude HQ He has a low level admin job in the office, I'm sure he could have a word in somebody's ear. thetime
Atoms for peace playing melt festival in Germany, same weekend as latitude... Makes it more likely IMO Could be a good call there, was thinking about them playing latitude with thom yorke doing his solo set there a few years ago. Can see them doing glasto and latitiude in the uk.
Frankly Mr Shankly
I'm not sure how I feel about Atoms for Peace at the moment. The album is decent enough but on first listening it hasn't exactly grabbed my attention as anything new or particularly exciting... If anything it feels like a follow on from TKOL not a side project & I'm failing to see what Flea has brought to the table so far??? Also they'd surely be headlining off the back of their individual members status, not the strength of the material. It's a shame Bjork is in the States over the Latitude weekend, she'd make a perfect headliner.
jamesrfisher
Have noticed that the updated TITP still does not mention Kraftwerk as an exclusive so still keeping fingers crossed!
zahidf
I'm thinking Portishead/Atoms for Peace, Bloc Party and Kraftwerk at the moment.

Born in the fifties
Atoms for peace playing melt festival in Germany, same weekend as latitude... Makes it more likely IMO So with sort of parallel logic, what's the odds on Prince (appearing Montreaux 13-15 July) pitching up to a field in Suffolk by the end of that week? Yes please. Best live performer I've ever seen.
5co77ie
you don't think he'll return to Hop Farm?
Frankly Mr Shankly
you don't think he'll return to Hop Farm? Maybe, or perhaps one of the AEG Hyde park events? Come to think of it, has he been ruled out of Glastonbury...
TheSeventhOne
you don't think he'll return to Hop Farm? This has crossed my mind too. Is that a guess or are there genuine murmurs doing the rounds, Scott?
5co77ie
a guess - I see a lot of Hop Farm regulars - Leonard Cohen, Prince, and Neil Young - are about this summer - I am speculating one of them (at least) is likely to return. geofelgie
Can't see Latitude affording Prince. Didn't he get £2 Million the last time he played Hop Farm? I think Latitude's limit is more like £300,000.
Amy Lawn
Is Neil Young likely at all?
Born in the fifties
Is Neil Young likely at all? Would be my wish as well, but I think not as he's playing in France 17,18,20 and Germany on the 22. http://www.neilyoung.com/tour.html I'd be very happy if Pulp were announced though. rotheboat16
I've not seen any word on eFestivals about Longitude Festival taking place in Dublin on the same weekend as Latitude. Line-up is announced on February 27th. Expect it to be very similar if not identical to Latitude line-up.http://entertainment.ie/music/news/MCD-officially-announces-Longitude-new-Irish-summer-festival/168526.htm
Rock_and/or_Roll
Any idea about whether the Longitude and Latitude lineups will be the same Neil?
