When you go to Glastonbury/gigs in general, what camera do you take and what settings do you use to shoot?

Surely you can't use one setting? I can't i have lots depending on iff light is LEDS, or real ones. whether it's day or night, indoors or outdoors, flames and pyros. There's a whole load of them and ISO speeds I adjust depending upon where/when I am

I wish I could take my NIKON d5000 but It's way too precious, so will be taking my little sony, its rubbish at night but still the best I have, can't afford a new point and shoot, did ok last year but all I could think about was what photo opportunity I was missing.

I love it, it has taken a while to work it out but most if accessible from the main screen

But the average joe cant take a dslr camera into gigs, pretty much all compacts are shocking with the iso level you would need without flash.

Even bridge cameras are useless with high iso.

So I would say if your taking a dslr you will need a fast lens and high iso....oh my a nikon d7000 and a nikon 70-200 2.8 would do the trick(over 2 grand mind lol).

I wasn't talking gigs though I was talking about Glastonbury, there's no restrictions on what camera you take with you.

I was given a canon eos 100 35mm film camera a couple of months back and have run some cheap colour film through it. Love the 80's look you get from the pictures and as my canon ef lenses work on it i may take that next year. It really makes you think about your composition!

I don't it restricts jumping and watching band enjoyment

Nice lens that barry if its the nikon version, although a bit soft on occasions.

Took the 70-300 vr last time I was at glasto, that was a bugger to carry especially as I lost front cap of lens.

Yeah it's the Nikon one... I wasn't convinced it was worth the money (my wife is the photography nut) but WOW it makes a massive difference. Great purchase decision.

Yeah... Played it safe and went for Nikon but was tempted by the cheaper models... How do they compare?
