Given Reading's long history going back to 1971, or even 1961 if you include the earlier NJF Festivals, how about a stage for bands that are still around and played back in the old days. OK it may not appeal to the younger crowd but there are still a fair few oldies like me that turn up every year and this would allow us to wallow in a bit of nostalgia.

Would love to see a bit more Reggae and the like too.

Personally, I'd rather just see more diversity on the stages there currently are rather than add more stages. There's plenty of dancey electronic acts in the NME tent, I'd rather see some dance headliners and subs than a 3-day dance stage. I'd rather see some hip hop acts scattered through the lineup rather than just the likes of Dizzee as a token act every couple of years or a new stage for it. I'd rather see NOFX on the mainstage than headlining an expanded lock-up. If going down the Metulz route (which I doubt), I'd rather see it spread around than have the metalheads shoved off to their own stage.

Themed stages only mean a damn if the top 2 stages are properly diverse.

Main: Biffy, Killers, Green Day.

NME: The XX, Deftones, Frank Turner.

Lock up (one day): NOFX.

Heavier stage (one day): Machine Head

Dance Stage (three days): Knife Party, Nero, Chase & Status.

Fest Rep: Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Wombats, The Ting Tings.

Comedy: Kevin Bridges, Rich Hall, Frankie Boyle.

That's how I'd book things, with new stages :P

I think they might push back or get rid of orange and push back yellow slightly.

I presume they can use all the land behind white so it might just make sense for them to move the camps back slightly.

They're gonna have to make the arena bigger though, it's already quite cramped with the amount of stages there are already.

No doubt it'll be another Dance stage, which in the past would excite me with acts like LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax, Hot Chip, The Rapture and Lemon jelly playiong but now I'd worry it'd be full of shite like Magnetic Man. I guess it's just an age thing and I'm sure the younger crowd that R&L attracts would love that.
