really, really miffed about this.

Tickets didn't go on sale as stated at 7 on the boomtown website as instructed, but actually through the ticket sellers website. So those of us who were where we were told to be at 7 ended up missing out.

Nothing happened until 7.30, at which point I could only get tier 3. Really badly organised, and Boomtown really owe us all an apology.

Well done you.

Why would anybody even give a link a second look when he's already found the page on the boomtown website, from which he's bought tickets the last 3 years, which clearly states "tickets will be on sale from here at 7pm November 1st."?

fair enuf. We live and learn.

Having been advised to "not buy from anywhere else" on the boomtown facebook page - I foolishly, it seems, attempted to buy from the Boomtown website.

As I said, I've never used the ticket sellers to buy from Boomtown - and had no idea that it was an option. I've never bought Glastonbury tickets either.

Although, you posted your link at 7.08 and the boomtown website says they'd sold out by then....but lets not take anything written on that site as gospel, eh?

I'll be happy enough come August - just think it was a bit of a balls up, that's all.

Does anyone know what the deal with ID on the entrance is? This year will be my first year at boomtown and the website says that they check anyone with an adult ticket's ID. The group I'm going with will all be 18 but i really don't want to bring my passport and haven't got a driving licence. Will they actually check it, and do they normally?

Another clever move by Boomtown:

Split the music arenas into two, at the top and the bottom of the hill - and then charge people to stand any chance of seeing the acts they've already committed 140 quid to see.

I also like the (not so headline) news that it's now 30,000 people. It was stated previously that the capacity would not rise again this year. Lion's Den is bigger, but are the other stages also bigger to cope with another 8k (I think) people.

Clearly the lineups are getting bigger each year, but at what cost?
