Congratulations to your mate for sorting that out. I had to get the clutch on my car renewed a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't so much the cost of the renewal (although that did smart) but the whole day around getting it to a particular garage (miles away) and back. It was very close to the film falling down - except I was more and more bemused as time went on as opposed to getting angrier and angrier.
PS - I have a campervan that last operated just before the covid outbreak. Then it sat for a few years on a SORN. I am (slowly) trying to get it back on the road. It is very much an uphill struggle.
The Damned at the Roundhouse tonight with Doctor & The Medics as support. Felt good as my first ever propa gig (with mates and pints) was Doctor & The Medics back in 1986. This was soon followed by my first Damned gig celebrating their 10th Anniversary at Finsbury Park with the Medics, New Model Army & Pete Shelley as support, now that was a special gig.
