And encouraging schadenfreude is a good thing how?

The Hillsborough thing isn't just about vengeance. For some, sure, that's the point, but Hillsborough is an iconic incident in proof of police lying, manslaughter, wilful ignorance and poor safety, a manipulative press, government, etc. all shifting the blame away from public authority. Getting a full inquest into that, the depth of the conspiracy uncovered and the conspirators prosecuted goes far beyond a petty desire for vengeance. It has instigated a huge cultural and societal shift of appropriate cynicism to ensure that such a cover-up shouldn't be able to happen again.

(and this is speaking as someone who thinks Liverpool fans often overmilk it)

Winge winge winge, get over yourself we're all perfectly aware how charging works we're just looking at some of the evidence much like the police would be. They dont just put their fingers in their ears and shout not guilty forever.

Just gonna point out here (I'm NOT defending him), that it's innocent until proven guilty and not the other way round. And if he is innocent, then what you're doing is called defamation and is illegal.

If he is proven guilty, throw the book at him but until then, be careful with what you say. If innocent, he has every right to sue you and/or efests.

I think there's a big difference betwen vengeance and justice, and unfortunately in a large number of cases (including Hillsborough) the two get confused, either intentionally or unintentionally.

As for the Lostprophets guy, it seems that it was reasonably common knowledge that he was a deviant and it was tolerated by his bandmates and others around him as, well, there's nothing illegal in sucking off another bloke or sticking a wine bottle up your arse. While this may have been the case and why it appears that some around him aren't exactly surprised that he has been arrested for something I doubt that, if it turns out that he was involved in what he has been accused of, any of the other band members knew what he was specifically up to in this case.
